Botan Calrose Rice Musenmai, 5-Pound

This rice is so good. It cooks up great on the stove top or in the instapot. It’s not too sticky but the texture is good. It’s the only brand of rice I buy and the value for a ten pound bag is fantastic. My family is large so it’s the perfect size bag.

Cooks up just right! Great price and extremely convenient. Always good to have some staple foods reserves for crazy weather, or unexpected guests. You can do so much with rice, and this is great rice to serve as the base of any meal, or as a meal by itself. Highly recommended.

This is really mass market Calrose rice. It does not taste very good, or really like much of anything. Many grains are broken or chipped. If you're going to spend this much money you can afford some Akitakomachi, Koshihikari, or Koda Farms' Kokuho Rose. These are much better rices.

I have purchased this item several times, and will do so again. It is the only kind of rice I consume. Bought it for sushi making, and it does its job well. I have also used it to make risotto. The bag is pretty big. Will last anyone a long time.
