Is it easy to empty it?

Yes it is. Just pop the cap off and shake it out.

Does this fit in a Traverse?

Sorry, I do not have an answer to that. I have a 2022 Hyundai Tucson and it fits with a snug fit. Buy it and it doesn't fit, you can always return it.

Have to ask, really holds 6 liters? AS stated in description

No it does not hold 6 liters. More like a 1/ 2 liter. 6 liters is more like a waste basket. But that's my opinion.
