It is so much lighter than the Rowanta, which was becoming difficult to manage as with aging. It is the perfect weight.

Note that the actual ironing area is 47".
Note that while the board is described as 57" long, the actual ironing area is only 47" the extra 10" is for the iron holder. NOTE---this is stated in the description, I just didn't catch it and want others to be aware. I really wanted a wider ironing board to replace my existing 57" (full usable) one. I'll probably return it for a wide ironing board that gives a full 57". I'm not disparaging the ironing board since the full description was correct. Just irritated at myself for not reading more carefully!
