What is the hex width? 11/16"?

The outside dimension (from the flat side to the opposite flat side) is 9/16 in. The inside diameter is about 3/8 in. The Hex nut fits on a standard Threaded Lamp Pipe (Threaded 1/8-IP). I am also trying to find what the thread size is so I can use thicker nuts. I build Industrial and Steampunk Lamps and use a lot of this product.

What is the thickness of the nut? Looking for thinner than 2.5mm (0.1 inch)

I measured five (5) and found the thickness to range from 0.120" - 0.124".

Work great for lamp pipe and panel mounting

These nuts work great for 3/8" diameter (actual) fine-thread lamp pipe. They are also the right size and thread pitch for panel mounting electrical components (switches etc) that have a 3/8" threaded shaft. They are sturdy and not too thin, well made and coated in yellow zinc for corrosion protection.

Works as expected

All of the nuts in the package were smooth and without sharp risers or edges. Threads were all true, 27thds per inch. I had no issues with cross threading. Good lock nuts for lamp extensions.
