Global Art Earth Tone-Graphite Pencils

Omg, I HAD to write this review. These water solvable squares of pigment are insanely beautiful. The colours are rich, deep, intense and earthy. They are really lovely to draw with but even better when you swish some watered brush over the lines and power! They transition to a stream of earthy neutrals, like the pigments csme straight from the earth itself. Incredible for figure work, abstract line works, really great tor landscapes altho jo greens but rich umbers and sienna's and the red? Like blood, or cave painting Indian red. Perfect. Its my fav art supply and trust me, I have a lot of art supplies. Highly, highly recommend.

A most unusual product, very attractively presented in a cork tray. Very versatile graphite blocks. You can draw with the block direct, corner or edge. You can apply with a wet brush like watercolour pans. You can apply water to the marks already drawn on paper, to create washes. You can wet the corner of the block and draw - very dark! Blends well. These blocks are fabulous for mark making, backgrounds, texture, mixed media... The only thing limiting you is your imagination. I'm still in the early days and have lots more experimenting to do. The colours are earthy and grungey and a complete delight to use. Highly recommended!

I have ordered these Global Art Earth Tone-Graphite Pencils, Acrylic set of 6 twice. And twice they have arrived broken. I’ve now ordered from a UK website and although more expensive they arrived undamaged. I love the product. Very good for creating different textures in big sweeps of colour. So 5 stars on product. But 1 star because broken pieces don’t work. The supplier needs to package more carefully. This is a product that needs bubble wrap especially as it’s coming from abroad.

I was so so looking forward to receiving this and when it arrived i couldn't wait to give it a tryout. The palette came well packaged and not one of the blocks were chipped or broken and even though this wouldn't matter to some people i can tell you that it would drive me mad! They come in a lovely display cork box and have a plastic slide sleeve to stop them moving about. On the sleeve it tells you what colours are in the selection.You can buy the colours separately which is great I have used these colours with water and am in love with them ♥They are soft and have a tailored shape ArtGraf Tailor Shapes are available quite a few different colours in earth colours ranging from Black Carbon to Sepia and Sanguine and is also available in White, Red, Yellow and Blue (i have them all and there isn't one that i dislike) They can be used dry or abit like an ink when diluted.I use it both ways This in my opinion is a must purchase for any artist

Pure joy of pigment packaged in a way that is versatile . Use as paints or pick up and ad textures and gestural marks . I just need magenta now

Product really good but disappointed with packaging. Paper envelope with no other protection. Pieces shaken up and one broken in half. Hopefully it will still be manageable but not good.

Love these as a new medium for my artwork. Will buy again.
