Could it be used for snakes?

Hello! A bit of a late response but! I used this for some of my snake tubs for my Cornsnakes, and they seemed to like it. Was on sale so I'd thought I'd give it a whirl! It's a lot "fluffier" than the usual aspen I get, and thus makes it appear deeper so they like to bury themselves way in there.

Is this good for rats? Is it soft & fluffy? Thank you!!
