Love these egg cookers because they are NOT for the microwave!
UPDATE::: Just like anything - you need to get the hang of it... DO NOT PUT IN DISHWASHER - I admit, these do not clean as easy as the commercial but that is because EGG COOKS IN A HOT DISHWASHER - it's science people. When you are done with these, just place them in a hot, soapy water and clean out with a bottle brush, rag or sponge - it takes a little time but not as much as having to peel eggs so I don't mind doing it... Do they pop out easily? No! Stick a spoon in one side to let the air out and THEN they pop right out. If they are cold - just stick your finger along one side - JUST LIKE JELLO SHOTS! Those didn't pop out either, member people? Do they tip over while cooking? Yes, sometimes! But, doesn't change the fact that they are awesome and they cook perfectly fine regardless...you do NOT have to get the exact level of water - so what if they tip over and so what if they look a little weird? IF THEY TASTE RUBBERY - YOU ARE OVER COOKING THEM! Use 10 minutes as a guide - I think the cook time in the instruction booklet adds for extra time to make sure they are super cooked - probably a liability thing - just like restaurants always mention: "Eating undercooked eggs and meat can be harmful, blah blah" My son is obsessed and asks for "eggs" every morning now - because I can make little cheese omelettes in these and they are the same shape - he now eats eggs again! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I wasnโt sure what to expect from the TV ad but these egg cookers are pretty amazing. They make this very clear โ DO NOT USE IN THE MICROWAVE! These are to be used in boiling water. Just like you would boil a normal egg, however, you donโt have to peel them later. I donโt know about you, but I cannot stand how hard it is to peel eggs. They have that weird film on them, sometimes the little eggshells get under my nails โ it hurts and it takes so much time. These are the perfect solution! So much better than anything on the market today. Just like anything โ you really have to read the instructions โ once you โperfect itโ โ these are super easy to use. Make sure you oil the inside, so I would advise using some cooking spray. Then, you have to put enough water in the pot so they โfloatโ โ cooking time is about the same as normal hard boiled eggs but the instruction manual has all the details if you are making other types of eggs. I love that I can cook them, put them in my lunch bag and the next day โ they are easy to eat. Just pop them out! Even though I wasnโt too sure about making a โscrambled eggโ โ I think this is the best feature about these. I make an egg and cheese scramble for my daughter (who hates eggs) and now Iโve got her eating eggs and they are so easy for her to bring to lunch, without the mess! Iโll have to order more because Iโm sure sheโll lose them. WASHING: I wouldn't put these in the dishwasher even though it says dishwasher safe - whenever I cook eggs and put the pan in the dishwasher, it never cleans the egg off - I think the heat of the dishwasher just cooks the eggs more - so, these are no different - they're not great in the dishwasher BUT they are super easy to clean IF you grease the inside well - it's very easy to flip them inside out and clean since they are non stick silicone - I'd rather take the time to clean these than peel eggs - takes less time! Update: after a month - I still LOVE these - I've learned that once they come to a boil, iit's best to lower to a rolling boil so they don't topple over. However, they are really water tight so even when they do tip over, water does not get inside. They are really easy to scoop out with a fork too!

Plain awful
Sometimes it is the smart thing to read and take into consideration customer reviews. I was foolish not to do that and ended up with an item that is so bad that I am surprised that Amazon even carries this garbage. The idea is good, the execution is awful. I saw this thing at a friendโs house and was quite impressed by the concept. She hadnโt used it yet and I just jumped head first. Problems: #1 not a word of instruction about timing and how much water is needed #2 eventually, some people answered and using those recommendation, I tried to cook hard boiled eggs. #3 the eggs were barely acceptable because the cups turned sideways while cooking and the result was the mess #4 I WILL NEVER get back the time it took to clean out the cups and the lids because the silicon is like industrial strength Velcro, holds unto every bit of egg-white. I used a brush, then my fingernails and still, it took a long time to clean out this disaster. As they say, wise people learn from otherโs mistakes. I was not wise. Make sure you are. Plain awful.

Easier than peeling some eggs!
I love it when hard boiled eggs peel easily BUT when they don't NOTHING is a bigger pain. I used to throw the hard to peel eggs out but with the current price of eggs it is not feasible. This makes it so that problem no longer exists. I already have four of these this brand but prefer to cook more than four at a time for my family which is why I am ordering more (I had a different brand but was not happy with them). I have read reviews saying some think these are too had to clean but I just put them in the top rack of my dishwasher and have had no problems. Plus, the microwave cooker makes making breakfast sandwiches a breeze!

COUNTER-FIT....NOT THE ORIGINAL EGGLETTES AS SEEN ON TV
These are definitely counter-fit. My mom ordered from a catalog the actual Egglettes and they have Egglettes embossed on the top of each one and these do not. These are lighter weight silicone and the tops are more difficult to screw on. They came with absolutely no instructions and were in a clear plastic bag. My mom's came with a really nice instruction booklet with recipes in a box with the normal pictures and advertisements on it.. If I didn't have access to her booklet, I wouldn't have any idea how long to cook the eggs in these. They definitely take some practice, as even with the booklet, I have not cooked them to full hard-boiled status yet. I'll keep trying, as we have farm fresh eggs and they are very difficult to peel if cooked in the shell.

Lower Your Expectations & You'll Be Fine
Okay. Originally ordered thru Amazon from a third party vendor who could not deliver in a timely manner & was unresponsive. Amazon refunded our money. Shout out to Amazon! Did not reorder, received Egglettes from someone else. Same product so here's a review. Lower your expectations. The cooked eggs will not pop out perfect and pretty just like the commercial.. There is prep work involved. First, the Egglettes must, must be oiled on the inside. I used 1/2 tsp canola oil brushing with a silicone basting brush. Directions reccomend spray or brushing olive oil or coconut oil. Will try coconut next time. You need tongs for lifting out of the boiling water. For placing into the water too if you value your fingers. Placing gently into the water prevents them from going Topsy turvy and keeps them upright. Gentle boil please. I cooked 6 Egglettes in 4 inches of water timed at exactly for 16.5 minutes. Let cool until I unscrewed the tops. You need to use a teaspoon inserted into the Egglette between egg and inner wall in order to loosen and pop out the egg. Ignore the commercial. Squeeze and pop out perfection is puffing the product. The little bit of egg white left behind I scraped off with same spoon before tossing into the sink. The eggs were cooked perfectly without the dreaded gray around the yolk. Whites firm and tender, yolk cooked through and tender. However, I would not use these for deviled eggs. Whites did not have a pretty smooth surface texture, appeared slightly rough. And they were flat topped. Plus I could feel the oil on the egg white. Not greasy but yeah. Could tell oil was used. If you hate the hassle of egg shells that do not peel well and plan to slice or dice your eggs for garnish or egg salad it might be worth it. Up to you. If you loved coddled eggs, these are really silicone coddlers...I have/use porcelain ones...so they will work for you. If you want prettily perfect boiled eggs.. you best do eggs the old fashioned way and hope the shells cooperate.

Follow the directions
I have used these several times. Make sure you follow the instructions carefullyโfor example, donโt forget to oil or use cooking spray or the molded eggs wonโt come out. Also, they donโt really look like eggsโone end is flat. Even using extra-large eggs, they take more than one egg, but less than two, to fill them to the โstop hereโ line. Make sure you screw the tops on straight or they will open in the boiling water. With these warnings in mind, theyโre wonderful molds, and no peeling at the time of eating!

Not pleased with this product!
Unfortunately these did not live up to the my expectations. First off, the package was all damaged when it arrived 4 weeks after ordering. Second, there were no instructions packaged with the items. I'm capable of figuring out assembly, but cooking tips would have been helpful. I placed my containers full of eggs in to the boiling water. Right away, the pods did not stay upright and water managed to leak into the hole on top of the lid. After cooking the eggs for the same amount of time I cooked regular hard boiled eggs, I removed the containers from the water and opened. I could tell immediately that the yokes were not completely cooked. I placed the containers back in the water and cooked for an additional 20 minutes. When I removed again, I could tell that they appeared to be cooked more thoroughly, but not as nice as when they are in the shells. I put them in the frig to cool. Later when I was ready to eat one, I tried to remove from the container. The egg did not slide out nicely like in the commercial. I had to use my finger to separate the egg from the wall of the container. Bits of the egg white continued to stick to the wall of the container. It definitely appears that the egg white was cooked far too long and the yoke was not well cooked.

Very disappointed..
Very disappointed....Used them once and through them away. The time it took to clean them was equal to or greater than the time to peel the shell off the eggs. The egg did not cleanly break free of the plastic cup - I had to turn the cup inside out, scrub material free (not easy since the egg adheres to the plastic), and reassemble the gadget. Not worth the time and effort. Reminded of the old adage: "If it looks to good to be true, it probably is". In this case, it was. Would not recommend this product. A.C.Martin

They work best for egg salad.
Shelling eggs for egg salad is a frustrating job, but eggletts eliminate this. I have found that they do have to be well oiled inside before use. Also after using them for the first time, then washing and storing them for quite awhile, the out sides became sticky. I solved this problem by rubbing them with a light coating of cornstarch before storage. Now no problem!

Big Rip Off
Misleading add shows shipping from Egglettes but is cheap crap fom China with faulty threads that make screwing on lid very hard. No instruction manual is included. Also eggs stick to the inside of the containers. I have tried several different ways of cooking eggs and even sprayed Pam on the inside interior these do not work. I am so upset it is not funny this is a crime. It would be nice if somebody took responsibility for the crap that gets sold under what was supposed to be the name brand name of the product originator. DO NOT BUY THESE. Big Rip Off.

Not worth the effort or time for us, but not aweful.
Not sure how the videos make this product look so great. We didn't find it non stick by any means - even with oil the eggs never came out looking great. Fiddly to use Lids don't fit great so there's always at least one that comes off leaving a mess to clean and a wasted egg. And if you do figure out how to get them to all stay intact, get over the fiddly way to fill them and remove the egg - it's an extra effort to wash up that I just don't think it's worth the effort. Maybe fun for the kids a few times but then it'll get old.
