Bought one of these a few months prior to buying a second one. Made a nice his and hers book shelf set. We display our Legos, books and nick knacks on them. Quite sturdy and they hold quit a bit of weight. Both came with clear cut instructions, tools and hardware for installation. The first one I just used a screwdriver while we watched TV and it took a little while. The second one I used a drill, took less than an hour the second time but I also had built one before. Went together clear cut and as straight forward as can be. Light enough to move by yourself (6'1" 190lbs). Highlight selling point for me; I bought a rolling cart for my PC, server, wifi and UPS that matches perfectly. Very happy overall. Would see myself adding more to our gaming room to keep the aesthetic.

Good: 1. Assembly was fine. I did it with the tools provided in about 30-45 min. 2. There were times when holes did not line up perfectly but that was due to my own error, not the manufacturers. These instructions are (more-or-less) in picture-form only, so you really need to pay attention to the schematics in order to not put a brace/rod/board on backwards, etc. 3. Every part (save the boards) comes with at least one *extra* in case you lose one. 4. The piece itself seems sturdy and capable of decent wear-and-tear. Bad: 1. I do not like the fact that the fasteners that attach the shelf above to the horizontal middle-shelf below are visible and chrome, as opposed to covered with an insert or matte in finish. I get that this piece is supposed to be inexpensive, but cheap inserts surely wouldn't have hurt the bottom line. I'll just have to put tall items against the mid-walls to cover this up. A small peeve. 2. The metal ladder-frames on either side are each made of upper & lower pieces which need to slide into one another and then be bolted together. The process of sliding one into the other is a lot more rigorous than any other aspect of assembly. It took elbow grease and a bit of finagling. But when put together, felt sturdy and reassuring. I'll update if anything egregious happens, but so far I'm not regretting the purchase. It's cheap, looks decent, and can be sent off in the future with a child to college.

A power drill or driver with the right size of hex head makes assembly a lot easier, especially when you inevitably put a screw into the wrong side of something. Very happy with it after getting it assembled; it's strong enough to hold shelves full of books.

This is really nice looking. It wasn't too difficult to put together. I replaced an old bookshelf with this. I also got some good book ends for the top shelf, so that is usable also. Very sturdy and looks good.
