AcuRite Portable Digital Thermometer for Indoor or Outdoor Temperature with Carabiner Clip (00333)

I bought this to put on my backpack so that we'd know the lowest overnight temperature, which is mostly a bragging rights exercise for the scouts. It tracks the high and low over the past rolling 24 hours. It's small enough to not get in the way, but the display is still readable even after getting wet. I like that the case helps protect it. Before this there was always an argument about which weather source to use to find the temperature, now I just make sure this is exposed and we can all read it.

this is great for camping trips and tracking the lows at night and highs during the day. I use it in my rv as a thermostat as well. I wish it was smaller. I wish the clear plastic was removable. You can remove it, but the battery case doesn't sit flush. Please make a smaller and lighter version for ultralight backpacking!

The product description doesn't highlight a few things: * The temperature is shown in Fahrenheit ONLY. * The operating temperature range is -4 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit. * It's approximately 3.5 inches tall and 1.75 inches wide. * There is no off button. The battery must be removed to turn it off. * It DOES NOT list any IPX waterproof rating. Otherwise, it's what you might expect. Hope that helps.

Almost never worked. It would usually either show odd LED combinations that didn't actually form numbers or just a blank screen. Worked most reliably sitting quietly on a table indoors, but as soon as I put it on my backpack and took it outside, it was worthless.

Love these for accurate readings while at home or inside a cooler to keep meds at the right temperature. Purchased first one and my husband took it over, so I ordered 2 more.

Accurate and snaps easily on your coat zipper of backpack

First of all ... it is a digital thermometer. From there ... not so good. This thing is huge! Would be impossible to use on a zipper pull. It is oddly constructed ... a device inside a plastic bubble. There is no on/off switch ... so the unit is constantly on. Why? I do not need it on all the time ... and doing so lessens the battery life. The temperature reading displayed is about 2-degrees below the actual temperature ... on my unit anyway. The unit is SO VERY SLOW in arriving at the ambient temperature. I took the unit out into 6-degree weather ... and after fifteen minutes it still had not reached the ambient temperature. I cannot recommend this item.

I love this little thermometer. It clocks the high and low for the day so it is always fun to see how low it read overnight. We use it on camping trips.

This thermometer only seems to measure in Degrees F & not Degrees C

Cannot display Celsius

Rubbish. Only works in Fahrenheit. Cannot be made to work in Centigrade! Mine went straight in the recycling...lesson learnt.

Doesn’t show Celsius only Fahrenheit.

Display only in Fahrenheit so not great. Bought for camping.
