Shaving Cream Crema Sapone, You betcha
Giant block of off white semi solid putty like goop wrapped in plastic inside a colorful cardboard box.My being Italian and it being from Italy, I liked this product and the almond aroma it gave off. Sliced off a piece, mushed into the bottom an antique coffee cup, wrapped up the part not used in plastic twice. Wet my small Escali Italian shaving brush and worked up an impressive lather. brushed it on my wet face and man- oh- man, what a nice thick lather that you would never be able to get out of any can of shave cream I had to work with. .. Love this product. So rich, thick and wonderfully moisturizing when applied to your face. I recommend this to anyone who wants a superior shaving cream at a really great price. It also comes in a small size tub if you do not want to purchase the 2.2 pound (one kilo) block. You will not be disappointed by the performance of this product. Regards , D. Paganelli UPDATE 11/2014: Been using this wonderful shave soap with Feather Stainless Steel Platinum coated razor blades that used to last me about 55 to 60 shaves. The last Feather blade I used with this tallow based soap lasted 4 months, that is about 110 to 120 shaves. I finally did change the blade, but did not have to. It still shaved rather well. Of course, I wash the blade and dry it, coat it with mineral oil after using it. The tallow based shave soap seems to retard rusting of the steel edge. Think I am crazy, try it yourself. You will be amazed. I just get a kick out of beating the system. Regards, D. Paganelli

Buy this shaving soap, forget the others
CELLA Shaving cream Soap is a great product. You will not go wrong buying this soap. The fragrance has a slight almond smell. The best thing about this shaving soap is how soft the soap is (makes it easier to lather with a brush) and the quality of lather it produces. The lather produces a very slick surface to shave with. The XL GIANT size is the best bang for your buck. If you don't want to get it, buy the smaller version. I already have a shaving bowl and old CELLA container (ex: small red one). I just cut off a piece of the soft soap and press it into my old container. I store the rest in a giant zip-lock bag. Lastly, this stuff will last forever. I shave my head and face regularly (2-3 times a week). I bought the XL GIANT size about 3 years ago....yeah, 3 years ago and still have a little left. I just bought another XL GIANT because I only have a little left. So if you only shave your face, this stuff will probably last you much longer than it did me...which is great :)

Best soap!
Works up fast and real slick! Makes shaving easy and the smell does not effect my wife sinuses.

The best since 1899
So my shaving life has gone through some rough patches lately (literally). I normally use glycerin based shave soaps, namely Colonel Conk's bay rum. I shave using a silver tip badger bristed brush and a 1974 Gillette black beauty with Feather blades. I finish off with an alum block and Nivea alcohol free post shave balm. Do you remember after the first time you wet shaved? When the epiphany happened. When you realized all you thought you knew about shaving was wrong. That the old ways were really better than the new. Well it happened again last night. I really wanted to give a tallow based soap a try and OOOOOH BOY. Cella is amazing!! Its slicker than the glycerin soaps and the lather it produces is rich beyond belief. I shave my whole face 3 times and the lather just doesn't die. The razor effortlessly glides along your skin and the sweet almond scent just makes you want more. After shaving, my face was left feeling soft with zero razor burn or irritation. This is the only shave soap I will be using from now on.

A great soap & a great bargain - and not just for men!
I'm a woman in my 40s who switched over from canned Barbasol & shave gels over a year ago. My preference is for "croaps" - cross between a hard cream & a soft soap - and in my regular shave rotation are Proraso green, white & red, Cella, and Arko. Cella has a pliable, clay-like consistency you can mold with your hands, so you can use this large refill to fill your empty containers without any grating or melting - just cut off a chunk & press it into your container. I am in a hot climate so I store my large block in a gallon ziplock bag in my fridge. I cut my block in a "tic-tac-toe" pattern to refill the standard 5.4 oz. plastic Cella bowl, for 9 refills. Cella has an almond scent, lathers easily & well, tons of slickness thanks to tallow, and I find it the most moisturizing out of the soaps I've used, probably due to coconut oil as the first ingredient. If you're a woman looking for a good budget-friendly shaving soap, Cella & Proraso white (the sensitive skin version) are the most feminine/least overtly-masculine scents in my opinion - Cella being the more moisturizing of those two. Obviously I'm a fan of this soap since I bought the massive brick, and it will always be in my rotation.

Excellent shaving soap- outstanding value
Cella is an Italia shave soap that is fairly soft and has a mild almond scent. It took a day or two to get the feel for the right amount of water to use in lathering it, but once I had that down, it produces a slick and thick lather that really gives a great shave. The one kilo block is a great value per shave. It is likely to last well over a year. I look forward to my morning shave knowing that I am using Cella.

The BEST Shave Soap!
I have been wet shaving for 8 years and have tried many different shave soaps, Catie's Bubbles, Toja (stick and tube), Speick, Halsinger, Geo. F. Trumper's, Nivea, Taylor of Old Bond Street, Fine, Phoenix, Arko, etc. Cella and Phoenix outperform all other soaps. At $0.70/ounce (I bought my Cella brick for $24.95) this is by far the least cost soap that also happens to be the best soap on the market. I purchased over a year ago and cut the brick into 9 pieces. Sealed them in individual sandwich bags and then sealed them all in a ziplock bag and stuck them in the freezer. I let a chunk warm up for an hour or so and then smoosh it into my Old Spice shave mug. The soap is as fresh as the day I bought it. Light almond/cherry smell with a thick lather. The soap is thirsty so don't shake much water out of your brush before loading. Great post-shave feel. Now what to do with all my other shave soaps...

Totally Excellent
The soap is simply brilliant, right down to the very retro packaging. It is made in Italy. Smells great (almonds), feels great on the skin and gives a brilliant smooth cushioned shave. The consistency is excellent, not too hard and therefore easy to shape into a shaving mug. Lathers easily. For 1000ml, the price is very reasonable. No down sides to this product at all. It's perfection when it comes to shaving soaps.
