Well ,this movie is surely for 3D blu Ray Disk collection .I ordered this movie from amazon on 20 Dec and they deliver on 22 Morning 11 am ! Bravo, Not only same courier person took sign on paper but also took sign on his smart phone using drawing app. Hat off to Amazon professionalism.. Also It delivered right on time and yes within single piece. Hindi Language is available through Audio setting. However if you are looking for Best 3D 'pop out' effect this movie is not in that category. High immersive 3D and brilliant colors But if you want full entertainment on your 3D tv this movie is surely one of best. Hugh Canvas for scene and off course special effect are too gud!! You can See this movie with your family at your 3D TV as this movies use very big canvas For Scene hence it is gud entertainer. Best to buy it when this Blu ray is heavily discounted. Not a bad deal for your 3D blu ray collection .

I need to say that Avatar is one of the most beautiful, fascinating, dazzling and innovative sci-fi film I've ever came across way back in 2009!! This movie has recreated and resurrected the 3D technology due to which every other film since Avatar was made in 3D!! But no one can ever recreate the magic, the eternity and the style of a cinematic storytelling the way James Cameron does: The master of film-making of our times!!!! And this film has broken all records and became one of the highest-grossing films worldwide(even surpassed Titanic: another James Cameron film). And the Blu-Ray disc is also a spellbinding experience at the comfort of your home with 2 discs contained: One which contains both 3D as well as 2D versions, and the other is a standard DVD edition!! Avatar is a reference for jaw dropping 3D. But this 3D blu-ray release is designed for active 3D TV and is terrible for passive 3D TVs like mine. I have a lot of great looking 3D titles like MadMax: Fury Road, The Avengers, X-men: Days Of Future Past, Pacific Rim.

The movie set comes with one bluray disc which has both the 3D and 2D embedded into it. The movie is colorful and definitely the bluray brings justice to it. The 3D effects of the movie are outstanding with good depth, no doubt, it being, brining the 3D generation back for a while. Am sure many would have watched this in theatres and catching the movie in the home theatre is worth the collection and makes a decent buy. Got it timely delivered by Amazon

There is nothing to say about Avatar that hasn't been said before. Whole world knows its awesomeness and importance in cinema history. This 3D blu-ray is the best home movie experience you can have. It comes with 2 discs. Disc-1 is a blu-ray disc with 3d/2d option. Disc-2 is a DVD. I own a LG cinema 3D TV, and this movie looks breath taking in it. Picture quality is amazing and sound is beyond awesome. Only negative aspect is that there are no extras/making content on this edition. Go for the collector's extended edition for that but that is not available in 3D. But overall this is the crown jewel of my blu-ray collection and no wonder this is the highest selling 3D blu-ray movie of all time. Amazing amazon service as always. Got it delivered in 2 days. Verdict : Must buy for any movie fan.

From start to finish Avatar is a visual feast. Obviously it has been hyped up beyond belief and has a budget that could feed a small nation but it really shows. Avatar achieves a seamless blend of live action and computer-aided animation, putting previous effots like Lord of the Rings and King Kong to shame. It's a good job to, because if the characters hadn't appeared as realistic as they did the film wouldn't have worked at all. However, the true brilliance of this movie lies in the setting. Pandora is an immersive 3D environment filled with intense colourings, facsinating flora and fauna and everything an alien world should have in a movie. When you compare it to other worlds from films like Star Wars, Star Trek or even Middle Earth, James Cameron's creation is leagues ahead. But, just creating the most amazing environment ever seen isn't enough to make a movie. So it's a good job Avatar works in other ways. You could say the usual things about this film such as good cast, great direction, soundtrack, romance, plot etc... and realistically, Avatar is good in all of those ways. The plot is engaging and while more experienced movie goers might find it predictable at times, you can't help but get totally engrossed in it. The main character starts off as a grunt hoping for a new chance after becoming a paraplegic, who winds up in the midsts of a war he has no knowledge about. Pretty soon he winds up meeting a host of interesting human characters, fascinating creatures (especially the Banshees) and some amazing looking natives and ending up a crucial part in the battle between the Pandorans and the invading army of humans. Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Zoe Saldana and Giovanni Ribisi are the best performers in my opinion and make an excellent cast. The music is spectacular and matches the visuals perfectly. There is very little in the way of an emotional journey, but the action, the adventure and a small amount of comedy make this a very enjoyable film. The one thing I haven't metioned in great detail is the 3D element. Personally, I feel the film could have worked without it, but there was certainly a great deal if 3D interactions to please the eyes. The Eywa (spiritual prescence) was amazing to see as they swam around the edges of the screen, and the explosions, gunfire and battles really popped out of the screen. In conclusion: I've heard this film has picked up a few critics. But, treat it like any other big budget film. The critics will always prefer an artistic nonsense film like "A Beautiful Mind" or "There Will be Blood" to blockbusters like this, The Dark Knight or Star Wars. However, no other film has ever looked, sounded or felt like this one before> I can't wait to see where movies go from here. Well done James Cameron.

Was great but it won't work on my dvd player now

Picture and sound really impressive enjoy the whole movie from start to end for collector must have it.

This is an awesome epic. It has everything.. Alien planet, alien men and women, alien animals, retribution...everything!!!

Let me start off by saying that I am one of the people that saw Avatar multiple times in theaters and loved it. The CGI , as well as the 3D technology infused, were by far the best I have ever seen. James Cameron and all of the people who participated in the making of this movie did a tremendous job. Weta workshop is taking its place at the top of the mountain, as far as visual effects companies go. Watching this movie was like being transported to a different universe. I was completely immersed throughout the almost three hours I was in the theater. As for the story and acting for the film, I am probably in the minority on most of these reviews. The story for me, while predictable and reminiscent of other movies I'd seen previously (What movie isn't nowadays?), was extremely enjoyable. Watching this made me feel young again. It made me forget about all the worries that an adult life brings, and just enjoy myself in the moment. Many people argue that the acting in this movie was subpar. These people say that the portrayals of the characters were downright cartoonish. I would argue strongly against that. For the type of movie that this is, the good versus evil portrayals given by the actors works in the movie's favor. Sam Worthington especially does well. If you haven't seen him in Terminator: Salvation, do so. He made the movie worth watching. Now, to get to the actual product at hand. I ordered the Blu Ray / DVD combo pack from Amazon. From the moment the menu came onto my screen, I knew this was going to be something special. When I pressed play, there was no turning back. Over the next three hours, my senses were completely assaulted and my mind was dumbstruck. Simply put, James Cameron's Avatar on the Blu Ray format is the best picture and audio we have seen or heard to date. I have a feeling it will be years before anything better is brought to the table. Watching the visuals was more stimulating than looking at a real life forest. Every detail could be seen from far and away. The walls of my house shook, and I just hope the neighbors did hear. I would tell them to buy the movie themselves and experience it. With this release comes certain issues. While I don't have any of them myself, I will still talk about them as it would be uninformative of me to not. This release of Avatar is not in 3D. Many people complain about this, and a large percentage of those people do not even have the right equipment to properly experience 3D yet. The technology for home theater 3D is very new and very pricey. Next year, after all the quirks have been worked out, is when we will likely see Avatar in a home release 3D format. Another gripe is the complete lack of special features. This again has a good reason. In the Special Edition coming later this year, there will be scenes incorporated into the movie not even visually completed yet. Documentaries in high definition have to be put together. A commentary track needs to be recorded. No one is being forced to buy this "stripped" edition, however. I am one of the people who will knowingly double or triple dip on this. The reason for that is because I love it so much. Now to the biggest complaint. During the initial release, many people were complaining that Avatar would not play in their Blu Ray players. The reason for that seems to be some new copy protection put on the disc. While I was not one of the people with this problem, I can certainly sympathize with those who did. A new firmware update is all it will take to fix the issue. My PS3, which serves as my Blu Ray player, had a firmware update ready for me before I watched the movie. So if you are one of the millions who loved Avatar when you saw it in theaters, or one of the people who didn't get around to seeing it, now is your time. Pick this movie up right away without hesitation. Keep an open mind, and let yourself become immersed. You do not want to miss what many people believe is one of the top movies of all time.
