Great for the classroom
I used these in my 4th grade classroom this year for students that struggled with spending too much time on a question and they worked beautifully. The students would grab them when they started the assignment. When the started the first question, they would start the timer. Their goal was to be finished with the question before the timer ran out. When they started the next question they flipped it again. I think they would also work for students that go too fast. They are easy to read and not expensive. I kept them in a bin with some fidget toys for assessments and the students that needed them would grab them. Iโm not sure how accurate they are but they helped my student that struggled with time management. She didnโt need to use it on every question, just ones she was stuck on so she had a visual reminder to not spend too much time on a question she was unsure about.

Fabulous for teaching time
They are great for my kids 2,3,4 years old they love them. The only not great part is how delicate they are and easily break, this is my second set after having the first on for six months/

Very nice but some tops came off
These hour glass timers are very nice. They appear to work well. However, the very first day the tops came off of two out of the six timers. Now the sand did not come out, as it is separately enclosed. However, the timers were only treated gently, so this should not have happened. We stuck the lids back on with a glue stick. That did not hold. We tried double stick tape under the two tops that came off, so far it is holding. I am waiting to see if this is a lasting fix or not. Also I am waiting to see if other tops come off. I hope not because I really like these timers!

Fun little timers
Use these for my son who struggles with anxiety. He loves that he can see a visual representation of time as it drops the sand. Works way better for him than an electronic timer.

Fun for the kids
I bought two of these timers hoping to use them with kids for piano lessons: a 25-minute one for the lesson and a 10-minute one for practicing. I had seen large versions of these at the public library. Check the dimensions; these are much smaller, only about 4" high. But the kids still like them and I use the 25-minute time for pomodoros (google it).

Time is NOT Accurate
I love the way these look! Wish they were not true glass cause of the kids but so far seems sturdy! Only issue I have is that they are not all accurate. My 30 min timer literally is done in only 5 minutes but the rest seems close enough for what need them for.

Well made
Well made. Body is glass. Top is like a silicone material. Times aren't completely accurate but close enough. I had to shake up sand content to get closer to accurate/repeated times. Colors are bright and add to any decor. 3.5" tall. About 1 5/8" across. I like and recommend these timers.

I tried the 30-minute hour glass and timed it with my phone. When I went back to the kitchen to check after 30 minutes, the sand somehow got stuck and the timer didnโt work.

I really like this 5-minute timer the way it's made and the vibrant blue sand. Sadly though, it's missing 7 or 8 seconds worth of sand (I ran an electronic timer against it to check its accuracy). That is the reason for 4 stars and not 5. Not the seller's fault, but the manufacturer clearly didn't measure the amount of sand required for an accurate 5 minute's duration. It's not hard! ๐คทโโ๏ธ 1 or 2 seconds ok, but not 8.
