You sure can! I ran two at the same time and had fun racing them. No problem with that at all.

How long will it run before needing to recharge the batteries?

It is dependent on what speed you run it at, and where you use it. I take it to a local stream and let my German Shepard chase it up and down stream. When she catches it, she brings it back to me and we go again. With the two batteries, we can play this game for 30-45 minutes. Hope this helps.

How long does it take to charge the battery?

approx. 40 minutes to approx. 1.5hr depending on how run down the charge is!

Can you buy replacement steering rods?

No, you must purchase an entire new boat. It is not designed for repair in mind.
