I only read negative reviews to gather my opinions on a product. If you're serious about buying a product like this, consider that pH probes are not a lifetime investment due to their nature, and move on with life. This unit has a permanently fixed EC sensor, and a replaceable pH sensor. I've purchased two of these units. The first came out of the box and required no calibration as far as I could tell. The second unit came with a defective pH probe (again reference why these probes are problematic in general regardless of manufacturer)... Immediate and awesome response from Bluelab support and they are sending me a replacement probe with no issues. The reviews I've read about this company are consistent with my experience, and I cannot recommend them more. If you want to integrate your own app with their API, it's braindead simple. I cannot recommend this product more.

I honestly don’t understand the bad reviews I’ve seen — most of it seems like user error. They say they can’t connect it to the Edenic App, but they’re missing one key step: you have to put the Guardian into PROVISION mode first (Settings → Temp button) before pairing. Almost like it’s not written in the instructions! Once it’s set up, it works flawlessly. I get real-time updates on my phone if anything drifts out of range, so I can fix it before feeding and avoid pH lockout issues. Super reliable, super convenient, and gives real peace of mind. Definitely worth the money 👌 I really wanted to spend the extra to go with the PH dosing model but unfortunately it’s missing a sensor probe that I needed

I can’t even get the app to load on my phone. It just cycles continuously until I close it. I’ve deleted and reinstalled it multiple times but it’s not working. I’d like to give the monitor a good review but it doesn’t work as advertised. I bought it for the remote capabilities specifically. I already have good monitors for ph, tds, ec and temp. The app was the selling point for the Bluelab Guardian. I’m returning it and buying a Growee system. It’s a little more expensive but the app works.

Fantastic customer service! Comes with warranty and they are super quick to replace broken parts will definitely buy agin.

App does not function at all. Would not recommend if you plan to use the wifi function. The manual viewing the lcd works fine. Calibration was simple and it gives stable readings. WiFi function and app not working is a huge downside for the price. Very disappointing in this portion of it. The app literally won’t let you login and they say on their website they’re working on it. Hopefully to have resolution 10 days out. 10 days!!!???

UPDATE: You can see my original review below- it was great, until it wasn't After less than one year, it started sending false warnings about pH and temperature. The alerts do not tell you the values they are reading that are out of your specified range, so it makes it difficult to figure out what is happening. I go check the monitor and the values are dead on where they belong. You get so many warnings that you end up turning off notifications so you aren't bombarded every few seconds. This renders the alert system useless. I missed some real warnings about temperature and lost my crop, probably because of this. When I reported it to customer service, they recommended that I widen my specified range. Seriously? How pathetic was that. This year I tried again. They keep delaying, asking me idiotic questions, such as, "Can you calibrate it again (for the third time?)", "Can you factory reset it again (even though the last factory reset did not fix it)", "Have you noticed it suddenly restarting (oh sure, it reboots itself constantly, and I didn't think that was worthy of mention)", "Are all of the buttons working properly? (again, no, nothing is working and I didn't think that was worthy of mention)." All delay tactics to push your case beyond the statute of limitations. They do not support their product. I strongly recommend you use another product. Original review: I used this to track my hydroponics system. I have had no connection issues. It has worked as expected, sending alarms when values stray beyond specs. My system is outdoors with a mesh network hub within 20 feet. I love that I can just check my phone to ensure everything is working okay.

Original price 280 in 2023.. over 100 dollar increase in less than two years from the same product..absolutely vile Works sometimes but don’t expect connectivity. The Bluelab app was built by Hellen Keller and can be vibe coded better than its current state. It works maybe.. one day a week lately. Ordered a replacement ph probe. Faulty. Doesn’t work, impossible to get replaced without uploading six documents to their website. Don’t have them from Amazon. Wasted 80 bucks So far about 450 bucks wasted Will not be winning at my state fair for tomatoes this year Good news is ac infinity is creating a direct competitor, and their stuff actually functions.. only 150 bucks. The price gouging here due to monopolization is insane, I recommend any other brand before this one, any other brand. Ac infinity releases their Q3 2025. Just wait for it

Purchased this to monitor my plant feeding reservoir while on vacation. Out of the box, the PH probe would not calibrate. I’m sure BlueLab would work with me to resolve, but unfortunately I’m out of time so this item will be returned. I’ve purchased other BlueLab PH meters through Amazon, and it seems the only way to get one that works properly is to source them directly from BlueLab. I knew this going in, but had hoped it would work upon arrival. I am disappointed, yet not entirely surprised. BlueLab did reach out to me and sent a new probe, but I had already returned the meter set as I was out of time and am not able to verify it as good yet. I appreciate their willingness to resolve issues and have adjusted my rating from 2 to 3 stars based on customer service alone.

It is a complete head ache. I bought 2 of these. One arrived that the probe is not working. I saw that the connection inside was cut. Contacted bluelab but needs a lot of video, photo and explanation. Last one was the edenic app is a pain in the ass to open. Reseted the phone, updated the software, reinstalled the app, cleared the cache, changed the password or email, try it with another phone, app would not open. Ending was to return it.

Hallo, die Marke ist für mich ein Gamechanger! Top verarbeitet, hohe Zuverlössigkeit und Kundenservice der auch Global funktioniert. Dieser Monitor hatte jetzt 1Jahr zuverlässig meine hydroponische Anlage gemessen. Was für mich wichtig war eine einfache Kalibrierung und das Kontrollieren über die App. Ich kann den Guardian weiter empfehlen und gebe diesen auch nicht mehr ab!

Für den Preis absolut inakzeptabel. Der EC hat eine Abweichung von 0,4 und das selbst nach der Gerätekalibrierung. Geht gar nicht Die APP funktioniert gar nicht, die lädt und lädt und lädt

Ich nutze den Bluelab Guardian Monitor für mein Hydrosystem – und bin rundum zufrieden. Endlich entfällt das ständige manuelle Nachmessen! Das Gerät liefert in Echtzeit verlässliche Werte für pH, EC und Temperatur – auf einen Blick und ohne Wartezeit. Besonders hilfreich ist die permanente Anzeige: So kann ich sofort reagieren, wenn sich etwas verändert. Die Kalibrierung geht schnell und einfach, und die mitgelieferten Kalibrierflüssigkeiten reichen für den Anfang vollkommen aus. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig, die Anzeige gut ablesbar, und durch die Halterung lässt sich das Gerät bequem direkt am System befestigen. Ich nutze es in Kombination mit einer automatisierten pH-Regulierung – funktioniert tadellos. Fazit: Wer Hydroponik ernsthaft betreibt, spart mit dem Bluelab Guardian jede Menge Zeit und Nerven. Absolute Kaufempfehlung für alle, die Wert auf stabile Bedingungen und gesunde Pflanzen legen!
