Review: Critical information for everyone, read it NOW, don't wait until you're retirement age! - This is a very important book for everyone, whether you think you ever want to retire, never want to retire, or don't even think about it. Life will continue on, time will continue to pass, and someday you just may find yourself wanting to retire or, like many people, life hits you with a curve ball - divorce, death of your spouse, or merely getting laid off. What I like most about the book is the fact that it covers so many aspects of life, not just the financial, and does a great job of seeking balance. If you're a man (I am), this book is still for you. My wife and I didn't create a spending plan until last year, and it has transformed our lives. We took a program at church which explained spending plans, saving plans, and more, and wow, the freedom we now have! And we found that I actually can retire now (in fact, if we'd done this planning earlier, I would have realized I could have retired at least a few years ago). Again, though, the lessons here go beyond just the finances, but even if you just learn the financial part, you're well ahead of the game! Get the book, start living with purpose and planning, and enjoy every phase of your life! Review: Lots of valuable information - Though I am years away from retirement, currently in my early thirties, I read this book to broaden my knowledge and make sure I'm doing all that I can to help my future self. I'm so glad I read this. I feel knowledgeable on how to prepare for my retirement and also just more informed in how to strengthen my overall current financial health. This book is packed with terms, definitions, tips, and advice on how to make your wealth grow. I also really appreciated how succinct and to-the-point it was. At the end of each chapter there were summarized action steps that made it easy for me to formulate a plan to make this advice a reality.

Good Basic Primer on Retirement Planning
I am always interested in learning more about financial planning for my retirement , which is why I purchased this book. It has a lot of great information, especially for those who have not thought much about retirement. The section on budgeting is helpful but a more in-depth illustrative example of zero-based budgeting would be a suggestion for a future edition. Some areas the author goes into a great deal of depth, other areas the author gives a brief overview. I understand why the author is targeting women for her audience, but the information she provides would benefit everyone. A good tool for your retirement toolbox!

Simplified for Understanding
I loved Amyโs way of explaining both finances and our emotional relationship with why we behave the way we do with our money. The book was a short read but thorough in its clarification of industry jargon. I now feel so much more informed and ready to begin my journey on planning for my future.

The book is easy to read and focused on the importance of planning and knowing the basics of finance and investment concepts. Besides overviews about health care, estate planning and managing retirement income, it includes valuable reference links, and guides with simple quotes and action steps. The author shares her own experience and statistics to target women, with the ultimate message that you are not alone, but with the right mindset, you can do it.

Solid advice
I don't really have a lot to say about this book except to say that it has solid advice and has been written really well. The information is pretty solid from what I can see and I have read a couple of these types of books although there wasn't anything that new here the information is easy to understand and digest. The writing is goo and so is the grammar, there are a few tiny errors here and there but nothing to worry about.

Plan your life in a Women's world
I read this book as a man to better understand the struggle of women earning less, being discriminated against in the workplace and not receiving equal opportunities. If you want to know why retirement is an entirely different experience for women, look no further. Understand why it is harder to have an easy life in old age as a female. Get valuable tips and tricks to overcome the adversity. The author is intelligent in her approach. Read this to get ahead in life as a financially liberated woman. Five Stars.

For Americans only
The advice in this book is only useful or relevant to US citizens, and it shouldn't be marketed internationally. Other countries have totally different banking, pension, health and investment systems.
