Although it is not overly hefty, the steel used to construct this AED cabinet is of a rather heavy gauge. The white powder coating should last a long time. You can disable the "dead man switch" alert and use the magnet to keep the door closed. Another option to disable the lock function is to switch the position of the lock lever. Rearranging the handle, siren, and wiring takes a few minutes, but otherwise it comes mostly assembled. There is more than enough space for a Phillips AED to fit.Because of its reconfigurability, this cabinet remains compliant regardless of changes to the legislation, making it the best value for the money.

Comes with 2 keys. Arrived locked, one key locked in a bag of supplies inside the unit, another locked inside the "emergency key" box. I have no idea why you would want to lock a life saving emergency device, every AED cabinet i've ever used the was only use to activate/deactivate the alarm, not to actually lock the door. After using several items to finally pry the door to the unlocked position i was finally able to open the cabinet. Thankfully, the locking latch mechanism inside was very easy to remove from the key lock so i promptly removed it so the cabinet is unable to lock at all. Employees should have free access to AED in an emergency. Outside of the whole door lock annoyance - the light for the top did not come with mounting screws, there are holes on the bottom of the light, and through the top of the cabinet indicating it SHOULD be screwed in, but no tiny screws. Did come with two small drywall screws. I will also be removing the spare key from the funky little display box as I don't want employees thinking they actually need to get to it to open the unit in an emergency. All in all the unit itself is fairly well built, and the price was good - but the design and function is really poorly executed for what the intent of the unit is for.

I dont' use defibrillator, so I'm using it as a medicine cabinet with extra shelving inserted. Mounts easy on wall. I installed it on garage entrance to home. Perfect place to place first aid kit, such as bandage and medicine. Since I'm using it at home, I don't lock it or use LED light alarm, so I cannot comment on those feature. Looks nice.

Good large solid cabinet. Unfortunately the door acrylic window was smashed. It needs to be made of polycarbonate. I replaced it rather than returning. The mounting screws for the flashing strobe light were also missing along with several mounting screws. Great product let down by poor quality control.
