Great product
This is my first time making Kitchari. I’m not into spicy foods and not a fan of curry. This blend ( does not have curry) is delicious. The first time I made it I used 1/2 cup of the rice and bean mix, 1 tsp of ghee and 1 tsp of the spice mix and 2 cups of water. It was good, consistency like rice. There is not salt in the mix which I prefer to add my ow. If needed- and I did add some salt to my portion. I used the Kitchari recipe on the package the second time I made it with more water and I liked that better, it was more of a porridge consistency. It was delicious! I added fresh spinach and some other grilled veggies I had to the Kitchari 10 minutes before it was finished cooking. I had it 3 nights in a row for dinner. I plan to make this regularly as it is so delicious, easy on the digestive system and healthy.

High quality excellent!
Beautiful, flavorful quality beans. I have purchased these a few times and every recipe I have tried has turned out delicious. I’m a relatively new vegan ~ a year and I searched extensively for high quality, organic, reasonably priced moong/mung beans and these can’t be beat. I recently purchased another brand on Amazon that seemed like an amazing deal. The beans turned out to be split yellow peas rather than yellow moong beans, so be careful when you purchase online. I can say that this brand is the real deal and excellent! I will continue purchasing this brand!

Good quality
They are more expensive than other brands but out of all the brands I purchased these cook up the best. A must for Kitchari. As well I have never gotten a bug in this brand which I can’t say about other brands.

Nutritious and easy to prepare
These organic mung beans are easy and fast to cook. They have a very light flavor of their own and absorb the flavors of the soups or sauces they are added to. Mung beans are easily digested and do not cause “gas” after eating them. Bring gentle on the digestion makes them an excellent source of nutrition, not only for adults, but for small children and the elderly.

Tasty and good quality
This brand is very good in general. I am willing to pay a bit more because the product is better quality is worth the money. The color is more uniform. I’ve found bugs in the off brands. I did NOT in this brand. It’s tasty and good quality.

Great quality coming at a steep price.
Loved the quality of this moong dal. Used it for daal and khichdi. Was very pricey and small quantity though.

Delicious dal!
This is some of the best dal out there, been using it for years. For the people complaining about "mold" this is the outter shell of the Mung bean which is green and was not completely removed. And yes if you're wanting to sprout the beans you must get the ones that are GREEN because this means they haven't been hulled. Also when you rinse the beans they make bubbles because of the saponins that are washing off...this is totally normal! People please use your internet to do some research before you purchase a product and give a bad review when you have no idea what you're talking about.
