Great taste

Black blend Espresso/Ristretto It was good but not quite as good as the original Nespresso black Espresso/Ristretto blends. It’s perfect for café au lait! Great value for the price, I will buy more. The nitrogen sealed pods are difficult to store if you don’t have a lot of space available. Strength excellent. Taste, just a bit of bitterness but I realize that this is a personal taste and wouldn’t bother most espresso fans.

Very great Quality coffee. I love all varieties of Borbone. Price point is better than most. The taste is bold and smooth.

The coffee is reasonably good but the packaging is problematic. Pods are individually wrapped in soft plastic, so not many will fit into my pod holder, and the wrappers aren’t recyclable. The pods are plastic, not aluminium- so also not recyclable.

I have the same experience as others where the pod design doesn't allow for proper water flow, thus it takes a long time to "brew" a cup. It seems to me that if a pod is specifically designed for the Nespresso machine, the pod should be identical to a Nespresso pod. It's not only annoying having to wait so long for a cup, the pod design also has "holes" in the bottom that allow for the coffee aroma to escape (Note: these pods are individually wrapped, which helps keep in freshness; however, the fact remains that this pod design is flawed.). The coffee is good enough, and priced right, that I'll order again, but it would be nice if the manufacturer listened to people's reviews/feedback and changed the design to fix this flaw. Honestly, I saw the reviews noting this design flaw and thought it wouldn't bother me having to wait a bit longer for a cup - but, it's not just the wait, it's also not producing enough water flow to sufficiently "brew" the cup. There are several reviews with photos that clearly show these pods next to a Nespresso pod where you can see the difference in the design. UPDATE: I've figured out why these pods "dribble" water out. It's because the pod design doesn't allow for the pod to be punctured like a typical Nespresso pod. Instead, the pod comes with holes for water to flow through that are much smaller than the holes the Nespresso machine creates when it punctures a Nespresso pod. Please modify this pod design - seems easy enough to me. Also, as originally mentioned, these holes don't keep the coffee as fresh as it would be if completely sealed. I was first introduced to this brand in Rome, where we stayed. I do love the coffee flavor that I bought here on amazon, but I do agree with some commenters about how the coffee pod takes a long time brewing in the nespresso machine. I do not know if it is because of the plastic pods itself that is the issue. I have no problem with the brewing time on my other aluminum pods from another brand. I give the coffee flavor a 5 star, but the pods itself is a bit sketchy.

Borbone is a true Napoli coffee. The best out there for Nespresso. Highly recommend and price is right

As a true Italian coffee lover, I can say this coffee is very good—rich and full-bodied. I’ll definitely buy it again, as long as the price stays reasonable.

Caffè Borboneis the best Italian coffe in the world

I have tried many pods over the years ranging from plain awful to very good. Caffe Borbone coffee is a level way above very good. It is truly excellent. I have only tried the Blue and Black blends, both are great. The flavour is the best I've had. Is there a downside? Yes...For some reason the flow from the Nespresso compatible pods isn't great. Very often the coffee splatters and comes out very slowly. Sometimes the coffee hardly comes out at all. When it works it's great but it amazes me how a company can shoot themselves in the foot by going to all the hard work of producing great coffee only to get the easy part so wrong. Come on, please improve the quality of the pods. I've seen other reviewers mention this so it's nothing new but it seems like the company aren't concerned which is a shame. It's still, for me, the best coffee out there though. It's worth trying but don't be surprised by the pods. Sometimes they work fine so maybe you'll get a lucky batch!
