Best Smart Watch I've Had
I just got the new Ticwatch Pro 5 in Sandstone. I've had other smart watches and was never overly impressed however with the Ticwatch Pro 5, I have finally found a watch that suits my needs perfectly. I'll break down the review into sections to describe what I love about the watch: Style: Call me old fashioned but my biggest gripe about my other smart watches was that they didn't look like watches - they looked like a gadget strapped to my arm which was fine in the gym but looked out of place in other situations. The Ticwatch Pro 5, in Sandstone looks and feels like a watch. It's understated elegance and robust build looks good for all occasions, not just when training. This is by far the best looking smart watch on the market. I love the sandstone colour although there is also black for those who would prefer that. It's Sandstone all the way for me!! There is a huge choice of faces. My preference is more traditional looking watch faces however there are modern digital faces too. There is something for everyone. The analogue style faces really suit the look of the watch in my opinion. Apps/Funtionality: I generally just use the health apps however there is pretty much any app you would ever need available from google play. All the popular apps such as wallet, weather, maps, alarms etc are available. For me the health apps have everything I need to monitor my training, sleeping and relaxation time. The information is displayed in a logical, clear way. The watch is really easy to use and I figured everything without reading any of the instructions - it is very intuitive. Everything is logical and where you would expect it to be. The only small issue is that I have big hands therefore it is difficult to type using the watch screen although this is not really an issue as you always have the option to type on the phone. Using the phone functions like calls and messaging via the Ticwatch Pro 5 is simple, slick and exactly what you would expect from a premium smart watch. Build and Battery: This is where the Ticwatch Pro 5 really excels. My main sporting activities are boxing and snowboarding - one of the biggest problems I've had with smart watches was that they were not tough enough to cope with the rigours of such sports. I've been using the Ticwatch Pro 5 during boxing and it is the toughest smart watch I've had by a distance. The watch is tough enough to cope with 5 sessions in the boxing gym/ring each week during punching, blocking, pad work, bag work etc and remains secure on my wrist. A very simple but effective feature that keeps the watch secure is a small dimple on the coupling that secures it to the strap which prevents the strap from dislodging under the boxing gloves/wraps. This was a common issue with other smart watches and very annoying having to take the wraps and gloves off to refasten or adjust the strap. No such issues with the Ticwatch Pro 5 - the strap and watch stay exactly where they should be no matter how tough the training is. I've not used it when snowboarding yet but I had similar issues with previous smart watches to boxing whilst snowboarding i.e, strap/watch moving or un fastening. I would imagine that the Ticwatch Pro will perform as impressively with Snowboarding as it does when boxing. The battery life is phenomenal, you will get a minimum of 2-3 days battery life if you are using the watch to it's limits however you can easily get 6-7 days if you are a bit more frugal with it's use. The watch charges from 10% to 100% in around an hour which is impressively fast so even if you are using the watch to it's full capabilities, it charges very, vest fast. The battery life and charging time of the Ticwatch Pro 5 are considerably more impressive that my previous smart watches. I used to get very frustrated having to regularly charge my previous smart watches and it taking hours to charge them - I would often charge previous watched overnight which means you can't use them for sleep monitoring. With the Ticwatch Pro, you don't have to charge it regularly and when you do have to charge it, you are only without the watch for a maximum of an hour and you don't need to charge it overnight. Summary: This is the best smart watch on the market and is great value for money compared to apple watches and other brands. The watch is tough, practical and has all the functions that I need. I'm not a technical whizz kid by any stretch of the imagination but I have found the watch to be very easy to use. The watch looks amazing (especially in the sandstone colour) and suits all occasions whether you're at the gym or at a fancy restaurant in your trendy clothes. Battery life and charge time are phenomenal. I absolutely love this watch. After being underwhelmed by so many other smart watches, I was sceptical about buying another however I am over the moon that I've finally found the perfect smart watch for me in the Ticwatch Pro 5. There are no gimmicks about this watch, it's just a great all round watch that does everything that I want it to do and does it really, really well. The only thing I would suggest to Mobvoi is to make it compatible with iPhones as soon as possible - you would be amazed how many iPhone users like the iPhone but do not like the apple watch. Many of my friends who use iPhones have commented about how they'd love my Ticwatch Pro 5 but do not want to change their phones to android.

Super Smartwatch
I have used the Ticwatch Pro 5 every day since buying it over three months ago and it's a brilliant watch. Having owned Android smartwatches in the past that have been black in colour I decided that Mobvoi's Ticwatch Pro 5 in the "Sandstone" finish, with the matching colour watch strap would make a refreshing change. It clearly marks it out from the hordes of smartwatches out there and it is a very pleasing shade which has grown on me more and more with each day of wearing it. Speaking of the watch strap, the well designed silicone strap means that I can wear the timepiece all day in complete comfort. At night I switch it to my other wrist and wear it during the night for monitoring sleep - but more of that later. When I set up the watch I downloaded the Mobvoi phone app and the Ticwatch Pro 5 linked up with my phone without any bother at all; it was a very simple process. The size of the watch enables a large and clear display (1.43 in) and as well as the loaded selection of watchfaces to choose from, there are barrow loads more available to download via various apps from Google Play, including the excellent Timeshow app. It's all a matter of personal preference, of course. Most of the time (no pun intended !) I like to use the watchface called "Orange Light" which I find greatly enhances the Sandstone colour of the watch and strap, with its orange, grey / black and white coloured face. I think it's a very stylish look. The watch runs on Google's WearOS so that lots of useful apps may be used on the watch in conjunction with your smartphone. Users are therefore able to download apps covering all sorts of categories, from 3rd parties as well as from Google. The watch offers a dual display, switching from the main watchface display to a second minimalist one, which must be one reason why this watch achieves an excellent battery life. It lasts me about 3 full days with, not very heavy, but by no means light, usage. You can brighten the secondary display instantly by simply raising your arm, and when you wish to see the full smartwatch display, you just press the crown on the side of the watch. Talking of the crown, you use this to scroll through apps and menus which makes accessing various options very swift indeed. On the same side of the watch, there is a button with which you can quickly access your recently used apps or to all of them as required. Previous watches I have used have sometimes had batteries that lasted about a day, whereas the battery for the Ticwatch Pro 5 lasts me over three days before needing a recharge. Happily the charging process is very fast. I mentioned earlier that I sleep wearing the watch and when doing so it monitors my sleep patterns very effectively and I can examine the data on my smartphone. It is very clearly displayed in the Mobvoi app. If you would prefer to use Google's own health and fitness apps you also have that option with the Pro 5, but I am very content with Mobvoi's approach because all their fitness and health data is displayed in very clear and accessible graphics. In terms of monitoring fitness and activity the watch automatically monitors your daily steps and if you want to monitor your particular sports / pastimes you can select all manner of these directly from the watch. Mine include Golf and Tai Chi (which I certainly didn't expect to be included in the list !). See my photos. Having GPS built into the watch is great for outdoor activities and it means you are not reliant on having your smartphone with you to track your location. All in all I am most pleased to own this watch as it offers so much, too much to mention here in fact. Great features, a long battery life and - it - just - works. Great !

Do not buy this trash, consider yourself warned!!
I cannot stress enough how much of a waste of money this thing is!! I've had a few smart watches over the years. This one has a premium appearance to it, but unfortunately appearances can be deceiving. I was really attracted to the colour, but the rubber wristband is really getting on my nerves and tic-ing me off. I'm a guy that has a little hair on his wrist, and I've never known a watch strap to s-tic to me quite like this one does, it is very painful at times and when you try to adjust the strap it pulls like velcro. Then there's that stupid loop that the excess strap is supposed to go into, it keeps sliding away! I find myself placing the strap inside the loop countless times every single day. And then there's the app. This is a premium device, and the app absolutely stinks. It is useless, constantly falling over. It goes entire days sometimes, especially after a so-called update, whereby it connects to the watch but never retrieves any data from it, then suddenly it'll just start randomly working again. Just not good enough for a device in this price range, nowhere near. They need to take a long hard look at their competitors, a device like this (minus straps!) deserves an app that's better than the competition, not one that's on par with a £30 watch from a company no one's ever heard of! It's not all bad though. The battery is reasonable, although again I have had better. I have a physical sort of job, one where the watch itself can be knocked every now and again, despite this there's not a scratch on any part of it. It's so frustrating because this could have been the best smart watch I've ever owned, but it's let down by a rubbish app, and a nasty rubber wrist band. Big big shame. I'll keep it til it inevitably dies, but unfortunately it just doesn't tic all the boxes that it should for its money. All tic-based puns are intended, subject to status and availability. Update. I am so fed up of this waste of money watch!!! This watch goes from bad to worse to so below the gutter it's not even funny. Since the last update it isn't counting steps properly, my step count even seems to go down. It's pretty much counted 3000 less steps today than it should have done. Nothing works with this so-called smart watch, to the point that all it is good for is telling the time. I wish I had never bought this damned useless thing, makes a fitbit look functional!!! Update: Since last Wear Os update this piece of useless tat has become a glorified time keeper. No longer records steps, keeps reseting step count as soon as you stop walking. Have contacted Mobvoi and don't get a response, they literally have no customer service, they have your money for this con so job done. Furious with this trash, and will never be buying anything of theirs again, stay away if you know what's good for you, complete and utter waste of money! I'd give it minus 10 stars if there was the option to!!! Update: I find it very impressive how it is able to detect my heart rate without the green LED light flashing to illuminate my blood flow for the sensor, it's almost as if this piece of rubbish watch is not monitoring my actual heart rate, and just making it up as it goes along ... On second thoughts that is exactly what it appears to be doing!!! Still waiting on mobvoi to get back to me about the step count issues, so that's well over a month without a response. Great customer-focused company is Mobvoi ... Not!!! Update: I can't state it enough, I hate this useless piece of rubbish that is once again disappearing my step count, lost over 2,000 steps this morning just because I looked at it and the always on display doesn't reliably update the main display. Rubbish!!!!!! Update: Decides to just stop recording a run halfway through, so I'm running along for half a mile only to descover the watch has stopped recording. Other than tell the time, this so-called smart watch does absolutely nothing it's supposed to!!!

Quite Impressive
I am using this watch for over 15 days and I love it. The look of the watch is very nice and the band is very unique and sleek. I love the easy handling of the watch as it is very simple to use and very user friendly. The touch function of the watch is very smooth and reacts very fast after touching the screen. The battery life of the watch is quite impressive. After full charging it easily goes upto 4 days without using all the functions. If anyone wants to use all the functions at the same time the watch will last upto 3 days maximum. I love this watch because I do not have to take my phone out of my pocket to check for notifications, calls, emails, watsapp msgs, Facebook notifications, etc. I can also reply to watsapp msgs, send emojis and even can send voice replies. The quality of the speaker is very impressive and loud. The contacts of the phone automatically syncs with the watch and you can get all the contacts in one place which is great. Calling facility is quite impressive as you can hear clear loud voice of the person on your watch and the other person can also hear your voice very clearly without any interruption. Overall, the watch is very impressive, easy to set up, and the apps doesn't crashes.

Good Piece of Kit
Great Smart watch built well, additional apps required for health monitoring and extra watch faces. Accurate time and decent battery life. Charges quickly and there are a good range of extra accessories such as straps and watch and screen protectors available if you work in heavy industry. The price is great and it certainly holds its own against more expensive brands

Nice watch but pixel damaged item
Watch sold as Mint condition refurbished from Mobvoi seller. Thought It was not working with screen lock pattern but turns out there are some blown pixels on the low power panel of the watch face. I am giving it the few weeks to bed in use for software as had one of the ticwatch 3s on the past and liked it for the battery life especially. One of the main reasons I got this one along with the price. Aside from this issue. The watch was quick and easy to set up with the mobvoi health app on phone. Choosing a watch face and setting simple. I like the crown dial as the ticwatch 3 had 2 buttons. Making nfc payments is quick and easy too, double tap setting on side button. Like the sandstone colour too. So far fitness and sleep tracking is ok. Waiting for final verdict after a few weeks. #update after 5 days use. The pixel damage was wider and looks like damage to the touch screen meaning watch had to be returned. For those looking at this for purchase new. The battery is a great selling point and does last days if set up to do so. I am disappointed in the seller on this occasion describing this as Mint condition when a little QAT would have shown it not to be the case. It's now being returned for refund.

Great watch, but questionable reliability.
Great watch, but questionable reliability. It's unlikely to last more than 3 years. If you're fine with replacing the watch after 2 years, you can have it now, but don't rush to install every watch firmware update. The reason for writing this review was a screen malfunction I encountered recently, after 2 years and 1 month of use. I used it quite gently and almost always used it while taking a shower. After 25 months of use the second screen stopped working (you can see the ‘remains’ of this screen in the photo) and the steps sensor, after another 2 months all sensors stopped working and occasionally they start working. On the photo there are two more shock marks on the right side, but this is the result of my ‘shock experiments’ with the watch. It has nothing to do with the breakage. What else I can say. The watch stopped tracking steps, heart rate, and workouts VERY often. This could probably be fixed with a factory reset, but that's not why I bought it. Every time I updated the firmware, I hoped it wouldn't introduce new bugs or fix old issues. This watch has huge problems with that. The watch has very good battery life, never had any problems with it, and after two years I think the battery is still in good condition. Very nice screen and second screen. Update. Most likely all faults are caused by water. You can see condensation on the lower sensors (second photo). The watch has not been submerged in any water or exposed to salt water in the last year. Shower and rain only. Disassembly and cleaning of the contacts with WD-40 isopropyl contact cleaner yielded almost no results.

Another fantastic watch from Mobvoi
I discovered smart watches many years ago and I wouldn't go back to an analog watch now.... I find a smart watch offers so much more information than a traditional analog or digital watch. I love ability to get notifications, weather updates, health and fitness tracking ... and so much more. I have had four different smart watches to date. My last watch (that I have been using for two years - and still looks great) is a Mobvoi Tickwatch Pro 3 GPS. As I have been so happy with my last TicWatch, I decided to treatmyself to the latest Ticwatch Pro 5 model.... and can happily say that I very pleased with my purchase. I was initially concerned that the jump from my Ticwatch Pro3 to the Ticwatch Pro 5 would be a minor one, but thankfully I was wrong... the new Ticwatch Pro 5 offers a lot more functionality and improvements over my previous model: The Main OLED screen: The new OLED Ticwatch screen is bright and fluid. The pixel density seems a lot more detailed than my old smartwatch (especially when showing notifiactions). The Low Power Screen: I don't know how they do it, but Mobvoi have a ingenious system where they overlay a very low power LCD style screen over the top of the OLED colour screen. This allows the watch to display genearl information (such as the time) without wasting lots of power. The watch can be put into this mode to enable it to run for many days (even weeks) without charge (great if you are going somewhere without power, like a festival). This low power LCD screen was available on my previous Ticwatch Pro 3, but the background colour was fixed and the information was very limited. One the Ticwatch Pro 5 Mobvoi have taken this feature to another level - the low power screen can now display, heartbeheart rate, compass bearing, blood oxygen level and calories (all great if you are an out doors type). One additional feature that I love on the low power screen is that the default back light colour can now also be changed ( I have mine set to red so it doesn't distract so much in the dark - and can improve your night vision). I did notice that when the watch detects that you are training (and automatically kicks in the training monitor) the LCD backlight colour will change depending on your heart rate (Light Blue - Warming Up (<100BPM), Yellow - Fat Burn (>100BPM), Orange - Cardio (>150BPM), Purple - Anerobilc (>170BPM) and (>180 BPM) Red when your heartrate is dangerously elevated. This low power second screen mode is the real advantage Mobvoi offers over the competion - and its the feature that really distinguishes the watch from others. Operating System: The Ticwatch Pro 5 is complete with the latest version of Wear OS from Android. The notifications and layout seem to be improved over my previous Android watch. The processor is quick and responsive with no noticable lag when operating the touch screen, buttons and digital crown. Hardware: Having owned a Ticwatch Pro 3 for the last two years I have no fear that The Ticwatch Pro 5 will not be as solidly built (if not better). All of the Ticwatch Pro 5's materials seem well finished and offer great syle and quality. The silicon strap is comfortable and easily changed out by its quick release method. I have fairly small wrist, and the Ticwatch Pro 5 doesn't look out of place or too bulky. The new Ticwatch Pro 5 now offers a digital crowm that can be used as a user input method. This is a really nice feature to have (especially in the winter when you have gloves on, making it difficult to accuratley control the screen with touch alone). The new Ticwatch Pro 5 has some really useful sensor hardware upgrades in the form of a digital compass, barometer and altimeter (great for outdoor adventurers). Apparently the Ticwatch Pro 5 also includes a body temperature sensor, but I haven't seen where or how to access this data yet (I'll keep looking). Battery life & charging: The battery life on my Ticwatch Pro 3 has always been great (lasting for two days without charge), thanks to its low power screen switching. So far the Ticwatch Pro 5 seem equally matched, if not better.... I will report back what kind of battery life I get when I have lived with it a bit longer. The magnetic charger socket is simple to use and connects solidly to the watch when charging (the magnetic lock pulls the socket into place when you hold it close to the back of the watch). The charging seems very quick (pushing around 60% battery top-up in only 25 minutes). Software & Features: Mobvoi offer some great life style and health applications that are really useful (such as sleep monitoring, physical training & heart rate monitoring). But, this being an Android watch you can always choose to use the google or third party versions if you prefer (your choice). Summary: A really great smart watch offering from Mobvoi. A perfect purchase :0)
