Cubilux 3.5mm Stereo Volume Controller, Headphones Volume Attenuator with Full Aluminum Alloy Case for Interference Isolation, 1/8-Inch Volume Inline Volume Control

So glad I bought this. It's heavy, solidly built and feels high quality. I've been using it for several months and love being able to gradually increase or decrease headphone volume. No static. I don't have a problem with this for my use case due to it's weight and tactile bottom but since it's small I can see where some may want to further secure it to a bench/table with double-sided tape. It is not powered, so it won't boost but it will adjust from off (mute) to maximum volume. The dial feels professional with a little resistance to it.

I run a PS5 into my main computer monitor with audio out from it into my speakers. PS5 output is MUCH higher than computer so when I switch between the two, the volume jump was awful. I've added this inline from monitor to speakers, allowing me to attenuate and match volume. Quality so far is great - well built, pot is very smooth and responsive, is exactly what I was looking for.

This volume controller has done exactly what I needed it to do. I record my bass playing on stage at church to put on my Palmetto Castaway fb page. The insta360 I use is very sensitive with its high gain. This limiter helps me reduce the volume input to the camera. I run it off of a splitter from my in ear monitor.

As you can see in the photo, this thing is indeed tiny. There are two rubber pads on the bottom which cover screws that hold the case together. I wanted to use double sided tape on the bottom so I removed the rubber pads, and seeing the screws, removed them as well just to see the build quality. Inside is a bit peculiar, as if someone soldered it in their lap while watching TV and eating popcorn. The head of the phillips screw on the far left was stripped as well, so I left it alone. The outside is very nice and it functions perfectly as a volume control. One star off for the inside, which I guess really doesn't matter.

A wonderful device for a silly little specific use case. I do think you lose a bit of top end volume but that wasn’t a problem for my use case and I didn’t test it enough to warrant deducting a star but something to be aware of.

Just what I wanted. A neat little analogue inline control so i can smoothly control the volume from my mp3 player which only has digital push-button volume controls. It's a nice little size in the hand, feels solid and robust, and the control is nice and smooth. Quality stuff!

What a nice little volume control! Smooth, solid feeling knob. Aluminum body, and goes from full quiet to full volume. And it's very small too! So glad I chose this one.

Seemed nicely built but it lowered the upper volume limit by a significant number of decibels. Did work for lowering volume to zero. But not having max volume available was unacceptable so I returned it.

電源を別に取る事無く使える。無段階調整機能のお陰で微調整が出来て良いですね。サイズもそんなにデカく無く、と言うか、掌サイズで場所も取らなくて良いです。音質も素人目ですが、良いと思います。

This review is for the Cubilux 3.5mm Stereo Volume control. These have multiple uses, And are ideal for instant easy access control of any low-level signal ie: not for your 200w output from your amp to your main hi-fi speakers... They have a metal housing which sheilds the signals from outside interference and are both solid and well made. Having bought one to see if they were any good I ended up buying two more. I bought them to use when recording gigs on my Zoom F4 recorders. I needed something to attenuate the line output to my Dslr's Mic inputs so that I could get a proper level on the Audio recording in the F4 without it overloading the input on the Cameras and I needed to be able to do this On-The-Fly as and when needed as the bands were playing. The F4's do have output attenuation but you need to set it before you start recording, as you also have to do on the Cameras. And whilst that's fine for studio work where you have full control over the recording enviroment is pretty much useless when recording live bands as the levels can go up/down throughout the gig as the soung guys adjust their sound, and you can't just stop recording to adsjust your audio level. These allow me to do just that by taking the F4's line out to the input on these and then then take their output direct to the camera. Then set the F4 to the right level and tame the output before it gets to the Cameras input and that's it, job done and I've got easily adjustable levels. The pot is smooth with a good level of feel and balanced in action on the audio output. There's two little rubber feet on the underside if you want to put then on a desk. Prior to getting these I'd bought a line attenuator, little black box with 3 resistors inside giving 18db of drop, These are much more useful and a lot better quality. All in all an invaluable bit of kit for me personally and great value. Highly recommended
