The Shirley Temple Ultimate Collection

Shirley Temple "Black" as a child actor has a screen presence not duplicated since the 1930s! It's really amazing how timeless these movies are. I remember watching them with my grandparents after Sunday dinner in the afternoon on an UHF broadcast channel where we lived in the 1960s. Never in my life has an actor captured the screen like Shirley Temple! She was definitely America's little darling and reminds me of the innocents lost from today's insane political climate which has stolen a generation of our youth to ridiculous ideologies of hate and "isms"... Shirley Temple, when America still had values and was entertaining without violence vulgarity, sexual innuendos or political BS inserted into a movie!

My Granddaughter is 3 years old and loves them, so far her favorite is Captain January. She copy's Shirley Temple. It is so cute.

i DO NOT WANT TO PLAY THEM ALL AT ONCE AS i WANT IT TO LAST AND LAST. THE STORIES ARE ENDLESS AND I AM SURE I WILL WATCH THEM OVER AND OVER. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SET.

Brings back the memories! Love these DVDs. Great HD, great color!! Like never before!! Absolutely thrilled to see them again and play them for my grand-daughters. ❤️❤️❤️

I have been looking for a set of Shirley Temple dvds for years and finally came across this set and I love it! Awesome quality and selection of movies. I love that there is a choice on if you would like to watch them in B&W or color. My order was processed and delivered quicker then I expected. I would recommend this product!

First of all these are almost all of the key, great Shirley Temple movies, starting with Baby Take A Bow, 1934, to Young People, 1940. Poor Little Rich Girl, 1936, is missing. Some earlier missing movies are: Our Little Girl, 1935, Now and Forever, 1934, and Stand Up and Cheer, 1934. Actually, most of her 1932 to 1934 movies are not in this collection. However, in her earlier works she plays minor roles, so this not a big issue. Also, not all of the movies are restored to color. The restorations are excellent. The original screen size appears to be stretched to fit the new wide screen format of modern HD televisions, and I could find no way to adjust this. Not all of her movies are about singing and dancing. Wee Willie Winkie is about a military conflict in India pre 1900. The Littlest Rebel is set in the Civil War Era and some scenes might be offensive by today's standards. The tap dance scenes in all of these movies are just amazing - a lost art. Besides Shirley, most of the actors are not well known today, but some are. For example, who knew that Buddy Ebsen, in Captain January, was a great tap dancer! Frank Morgan, from Wizard of Oz, has a memorable role in Dimples. Also from Oz we see Jack Haley, the Tin Man. Cesar Romero is in Wee Willie Winkie, and Arthur Treacher is in several movies as well. If you rented these movies through streaming, you would pay about the same as this collection, but with the DVDs you can watch them over and over again or loan them to friends and family. One minor issue: the Wee Willie Winkie disk had no label. So, my rating is only 4 of 5 because not all movies are in color, the screen dimensions were not adjustable, Poor Little Rich Girl was not in the collection, and Wee Willie Winkie was not labelled. Other than those issues, we thoroughly enjoyed the collection. Oh, the movies are not in chronological order, so I had to find a list of Shirley's movies on IMDB then compare that list to the movies in this collection.

The box sets were wonderful my grandchildren loves watching them along with me and my wife and they played awesome I love the way that it’s color and black-and-white that gives you an option the kids want to color but I’d like to go back and do the black-and-white but thank you so much for a wonderful product and good day Mike
