Pretty much the best RDWC system on the market imho
Great system! No complaints! You will probably need to add a water chiller ( which should be a given for hydroponic systems with this much water) I’ve bought other systems and even built my own. The quality, customer service, ease of use, and growth rate of this system is insane. I could go on, you won’t regret it! You may even want to expand on it! I’ve built 2 of them now the 2 bucket and the 4 bucket and I can’t give enough props to Hydra Unlimited. BUY ONCE CRY ONCE get this system!

With a water chiller, and some modifications this system works great
I would give it 5 stars, but it does require some mods by the user to make it a close to perfect system. The pump is powerful but will make the water run at about 80°F, so you must add a water chiller. The length of tube provided from the main pump (short) doesn't match the top feeding venturi tubes (long, which is good), so you might have to "match" their length when you add a chiller. The bottom quick release tube connectors are not water tight, so you need to add Teflon tape to all those T-bar and L connections, otherwise you'll have a 14 gallon FAST flood on your hands! The venturi air/water system is very clever, no air stones are needed, unlike most other systems. This is not a R-DWC system unless you add drip rings, which I did with rings and pumps from Amazon. Some of the holes on both of the net pots weren't "punched out" / not plastic molded properly, I replaced them.

Ease of use
This thing grows really big plants

Wish it wasn't true
Runs to hot for typical hydro tomatoes. You need a chiller just to use this and that's more expensive. I realy wanted this to work out.

Poor execution
Hydramax Home 1 Bucket - I purchased for the increased water volume to help with cherry tomatoes. Unfortunately, great concepts with very poor execution. The pump leaked at the inlet fitting. I contacted customer support and a replacement fitting was quickly sent (great support experience). Unfortunately the replacement was as poor fitting as the original. Tried several different layers of teflon tape without success. Finally used some plastic safe plumbers putty, in addition to teflon tape, to solve the problem. The pump absolutely requires a chiller. The buckets water temperature went over 15 degrees cooking a young tomato plant. Solved this problem by unplugging the pump and using a large air stone. The top design leaks water everywhere. Condensation and/or the movement of the water hitting the lid and it leaks all over the floor. Designing the top to fit inside the outer lip would have solved this problem. I have a dozen cheap 5 gallon DWC buckets setup with none of these problem. This is an expensive setup to work so poorly. I absolutely would not recommend.

A Solid DWC Option For Some
I’ll make this review short and sweet: 1. The pump does run warm. A chiller is advisable, but some might be able to manage without one. 2. Set up is a breeze. Everything comes put together essentially and the parts that aren’t (the tubing), are super easy to configure. 3. Customer Service is stellar. Emailed them over the weekend and they got back to me first thing Tuesday (Monday was Memorial Day so they were closed). 4. The pump is a little noisy, but not TOO bad. However if you need a silent grow for whatever reason, then you might need to find a new pump. 5. Speaking of pumps, I believe this one is a Danner? From what I can tell they’re great quality and should last a long time. 6. The bucket is huge. Wish they offered a smaller version for hobby/home growers. Would have loved a 3 gallon option. All in all definitely worth the money.

Motor little loud
Had to make my own vibration stand and foam wrapped the pump I raised up the buckets to make them a little taller. You can find all the stuff to make it on Amazon DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR ADD TWO AIR STONES ONE FOR EACH BUCKET ADD A WATER COOLER AND AN AQUARIUM WATER FILTER WITH THE UV LIGHT OR YOUR WATER WILL GO BAD IN THE TENT WITH IN DAYS. Trust me. You could adjust it when feeding not to filter for the day

Sadly, this was a letdown.
When I was in the market for a hydroponic system, I wanted something comprehensive, with all the necessary components included right out of the box. After comparing several options, I decided to invest a bit more in this recirculating system, hoping the extra cost would translate to better performance. Unfortunately, it didn’t. Not long after setup—I carefully followed the instructional video frame by frame—it began leaking. Then, one of the circulators quit on me. I’ve got to say, customer service was great and sent out a replacement fast, which I appreciated. But even with the new part, it wasn’t long before I ran into the same problems. The pump kept leaking, and eventually, both the original and the replacement circulators just stopped working. Now, I find myself with essentially two separate deep water culture buckets. The system isn’t even plugged in. And that’s fine I guess, but it’s not what I expected or wanted. Looking back, I wish gone another route, especially at this price point. Disappointed to leave this review because I really wanted to like it. And to be clear, I’m sure there was some user error on my part—whether I’m even aware of it or not—but I was using reverse osmosis water and I think I run a pretty clean system.
