Got these to use for connecting the wiring on a backup camera and monitor. Haven't used on the installation yet because I'm waiting on the monitor. However, I tested one of the taps on a wire from another camera that should be the same. Gauge of the wire was small ( probably 22 ga.) but I was able to get a good connection, testing for continuity. I had previously used a different style of tap where both wires were parallel and found that tap to be a little more cumbersome to use in a tight space. This tap isn't as large and is easier to work with. Can't see going back to the parallel kind. I'm well pleased with the product.

I’ve been using this T Tap Wire Connectors for automotive wiring projects, and overall I’m very satisfied with the it. The variety in the kit is excellent, it covers multiple wire gauges, which made it easy to handle everything from lighter accessory wiring to slightly heavier connections. these worked great for fixing my low voltage yard lights. Lights have pinch connectors that lose contact after so many years. Used these to fix them then wrapped with weatherproof electrical tape.

These are just absolutely awesome and cost effective! really easy to use, anyone can do it. I was going to buy the POSI taps but they where so much more and only had 6 in a pack so I went with these and I am so happy I did. Saved me so much time in wiring car radios and is so easy to install the Axxess steering wheel control adapter, no soldering!! you will not be disappointed.

I decided to try these to tap into my backup camera for my vehicle and wire it to the new stereo I installed. Here is my experience: There were no instructions included. It is pretty self explanatory though. The wire was pretty small so I used the red taps (the smallest ones) I snapped them on and wired everything up. NOTHING happened. No signal, nothing. I started to question if I had the correct wires hooked up. I double checked that I installed with a quick google search. Sure enough I did everything fine. After an hour of messing around and reading I gave up. Later I took off the tap and looked at the wire. Sure enough the insulation had not been penetrated on the wire! It was compressed, but no wire was exposed. I used my fingernail (I recommend a sharp knife) and scraped away the insulation that had been squished by the tap. I reconnected the taps and amazingly everything worked! My thoughts? Definitely easier than soldering. I did not want to bring a hot solder iron into my car. I would melt the dash :D. It was not as easy as it should have been. Perhaps the gauge of the wire was a little too small? There seems to be a pretty fine line between cutting through the insulation and possibly severing some wire strands. I could just as easily expose some of the wire, twist it together, and use electrical tape. Based on this experience, the ONLY reason I would see myself using these again is the convenience of being able to plug/unplug them. I'll try them on a thicker wire, but I have already lost trust that they will make a true connection the first time I hook them up.

Wired products are always good. I never had an issue with with there stuff. It’s all good.

This product is great for beginners dealing with 12 volt wiring application. But also makes any install more precise, reliable and fast. No need for multiple connection points. Pictured are a few led RV replacement lights I geared up in my barn with 12volt solar for lights. Very pleased with this product.

Worked like a charge to tap into the tail lights wiring for a rear license plate light install. Not sure about the waterproofing if it’s in an outdoor exposed location.
