Good product
Good quality hammer. I bought the 450g as well. I might remake the handle with some hardwood in the future.

Yep...
My first 'Japanese style" hammer and have used it regularly for chiseling, adjusting, mating boards together, etc. I bought the 300 gram for 'everyday' use and it's a great weight for me. The tow ends of the head have one rounded surface and one flat... I mostly use the flat surface, but the rounded one comes in handy as well. Build quality is, well, Kakuri and should last a long time with everyday use in my workshop.

Nice hammer
Faces are flat and convex as described. Weight is useful. The handle is a little long, but that was easily corrected. Recommended.

Needs work
Like most Japanese tools if you are unfamiliar ,it requires work . The head will have to be seated properly and the metal wedge driven in . Only takes five minutes . It's a great little hammer . Flat on one side of the head and convex or belled on the other . The belled end is to strike small nails without bruising the wood .
