Incredibly sharp, effective pair of shears
These shears made quick work of the tough weeds and pasture grass encountered in South Central Florida lawns. These shears are far superior to standard hand held grass clippers. They look like they might be unwieldy or awkward to use, but I found them easy to use and their hefty feel was not a problem. They cut through the toughest weeds and grass like butter. To avoid injury, use the scabbard that is included to keep from injuring yourself on the blade tips. The only question I have now, is: how long will the blades maintain their edge? Time will tell, and I will follow up with that information. If the blades do maintain their edge, and the pivot point is well designed, these would also make excellent utility shears. I was out in the garage detailing my car, and wanted a small cloth to use for applying wax in a small space. I used these shears to cut a small piece off of a nearby towel. It worked perfectly. Except for the size of these shears, I think they would make excellent household utility shears

As finely made as any fine tool, and easy to use, even for a long time, without hand fatique.
I was a little reluctant to spend this much for grass clippers. Once I received the King's County clippers and tried them out, there is no way I will let go of them. They are easy to use, The blades are made properly: thin, high carbon tool steel; NOT stainless. Stainless steel isn't as sharp as high carbon tool steel; and these blades are, first and foremost, sharp! They can also be removed from the handle, so I can sharpen them easily on my King Japanese water stones. Just keep them clean and dry and store them with a little oil on the blades so they will last a long time.

Solid, well-built clipper for small to medium jobs
This is a great product! I ordered a battery-powered hedge trimmer but returned it after seeing a gardener using this type of tool and realized the hedge trimmer was over-kill for what I needed to do: shape a hedge where branches weren't more than an 1/8" thick. I just needed to tidy things up, not give the hedge a full-blown haircut. I spent 45-minutes shaping, going slowly from left to right, bottom to top until I felt things looked right. This trimmer takes off enough, but not too much. I expected my hand to be sore the next day, but it wasn't. If you're trimming a mature boxwood, this tool is inadequate. But for a trimming of a few errant branches...perfect!

Hands, likely the best Turf/Blue Grass/Tall Fescue Hand/Mannual Trimmers I've ever used
I'm a fussy critic, ... I can honestly share with you that; This tool... used in a reasonable way. or manner, do a great job of clean cut shearing grass "Edging" ! Keeping in mine: That "dull", blunt cutting edges, do a disfavor of quality "shearing" this tool with EASE shear as opposed to blunt edged tools. The blades "metal" appear to hold the razor sharp condition. IE: To be honest this type application of Grass & Dirt will eventually need to be re-honed sharpened. Advised to use a med. diamond abrasive hand honing tools. Keeping them SHARP, will provide quality cutting/shearing. You very likely will admire this purchase!

This is a large tool, and would suggest for someone with hand strength... Several cautions.
The "action" is smooth because the blades are so sharp. The tool is "heavy" but can easily snip a single blade of fountain grass as well as whole clumps of geraniums which I usually do with a hedge trimmers. CAUTION: Keep the cap on the point when not in use. This is as sharp as a knife. Could easily pierce a shirt and, as I found out the other day, the point will go through the palm of a leather gardening glove. I have a small man's hand. I think my glove size is an 8. I know that I buy small leather gloves for gardening. I'm 6'2" and my wife is 4'11". My wife can use these though I would use the term "wield" rather than "use." It's 5 stars for me; 3 for my wife. The blades hold an edge, and I use sewing machine oil on the blades between uses. After a few hours of trimming a 40 foot bed of geraniums, I used a stone to sharpen the blades. I suggest you read others' reviews before deciding. I would definitely buy again, and my wife really likes them for her own bonsai skills.

Best shears I've seen
Rugged. Sharp. Versatile. Fit for purpose. Should last a lifetime. These are not the economy-grade weak-wristed "clippers" found in box-store garden sections. These are heavier, with thick, sharp blades. The handles are thick and rugged with a positive shearing action. In use, I can snip tiny bites in close, or take large slashing bites for fast clearing, at any angle. Very satisfying results. Tip: use two fingers (one from each side) to slide the blade lock button. These fit my larger male hands just fine; I suspect my smaller wife's smaller hands might tire easily. So I'm stuck with the clipping chores, but--for me--these shears make the job easier and faster. Well worth the price.

Great product ๐ Very sharp & spring loaded!
Excellent product. Works well and quick. Very impressed how our Carolina Cypress turned out. Found a review that said it rusted. So when I was finished I put oil on the blade and after the third usage- - no rust. At this point would highly recommend. Please see pictures.

Great effective and sturdy design
One of the most innovative designs I have seen for a hand held grass shear. Works great around corners the mower or gas trimmer canโt get too or is too delicate for. The weight and ease of use is fantastic quality product.
