Do these have a good, wide, solid grip? Many are too slim.

The handles are thicker than an ordinary toothbrush but not as 'chunky' as an electric. It is wider where it is held in your palm, narrower where you put your thumb and finger and narrow near the brush so you can close your lips round it. There are 'dimples' to prevent your thumb and finger slipping if they get wet. I have very bad arthritis in my hands and I find it is comfy and feels secure to hold even when brushing hard & fast.
