On the Rocks Mixed Berry Cider Refill Home Brew Ingredient Kit

I'm just about to order a third tin of this. So clearly I like it. It's easy to make. The first batch was quite potent. 2 pints was enough for me over an evening. The second batch tasted the same as the first but wasn't quite so potent. I didn't physically test the alcohol volume. On both occasions I put it into a pressure barrel. The first barrel needed some carbonation via the C02 bulb to stay lively but the room was colder then. The second barrel that I am just coming to finish has come out of the tap under pressure all the time without any additional C02 bulb. There are obviously variables that effect these things. I am happy with this product. It's far less sweet than the commercial mixed berry ciders. However having got used to this stuff if you then have a can of Strongbow dark fruit then it's far too sweet. I've also ordered some of the Pear Cider also made by this company. I have yet to drink that. I might try and bottle this batch so it can be kept nice and cold in the fridge.

Followed the instructions well and was ready in 13 days, a little on the sour side but a drop of lemonade seemed to have sorted that without effecting the taste

The taste is ok but not brilliant

Wasn't expecting much from a cheaper can but the end result was very drinkable. Easy to make, good instructions, cleared nicely.

I made this to share with friends at an event. It was much appreciated, comments were it tasted like ribena. I don't know what I did to it when fermenting but it ended up with an alcohol content of 11.8%. So it was lethal, what with it tasting like ribena and not alcohol. But it was enjoyed all the more by the people I made it for because of that. My Aunt is now requesting this for christmas she liked it so much.

Easy to make with good instructions. Tastes very nice.
