Sturdy little controller
Built a small off grid system for my workshop. I used a secondhand solar panel and some free batteries and inverter. I bought this charge controller and have been using it a few months now. Very reliable and does what it is suppose to do. It does seem better built that some of the cheaper ones I have had in the past. The heat sink is substantial and the overall build it good. It charges the batteries well though an MPPT charger would do better here (much more expensive). Only issue i found was I had to get into the settings to enable the load position to work, once that was done I have just left it alone to do its thing. Excellent value at £20 especially as it can handle 30a.

Cheap but good
For the price it's well made, has decent wire connectors that take a thicker wire than most. Using with an 80w panel and I have power on my boat for lights water pump etc.

Soler panel charge controller - Positive buy.
This has a good capacity and is easy to set up. Once the menu structure has been cycled through a few times all the options become clear. It has certainly kept the battery charged through my 4 week absence from home.

Very diffcult to use the instructions are as much use as poke in the eye NOT RECOMENDED
Terrible the instructions are as clear as mud and the soft wear is appalling over complicated and very difficult to use, unless you are a soft wear engineer don't bother with this nonsense.

Stay away! False marketing
So I thought initially this unit was amazing, it had some memory features and the ability to set the battery type. Unfortunately, after about 2 months of use I have concluded its faulty. My solar set up consists of 3x 150W photonic universe panels, and 4x 110Ah Leisure batteries. This unit is unable to surpass 14Amps of charging current, and no matter what I can do it will not go over. I have reduced cable length, taken away and added batteries. All of this has no effect on charging current. I have even tested to see whether the current increases when the batteries need bulk charging. The information also on the display is all fake. It doesn't truly tell you charging status as it cant get my battery bank above 13.15V. Even though the maximum current it has available is in excess of 21Amps. Poor software design and absolutely no point using this is as it cant fully charge anything!! I have had to go back to an old fake mppt 30a charge controller (PWM really).

So far only basic testing for a solar panel/light application that is not installed yet. But seems to be performing properly through testing so far......

Works as expected and have had no issues.

I've had 4 of these in our RV for four plus years and these have been very reliable and effective. I'm about to order a fifth. Today I took one of my originals and hooked it up to four 305 watt panels in parallel and it put out 38 amps at 27v! I have these filling my 280 lifepo4 30ah cells in a 8s35p setup and they work great. I need controllers that let me dial in the charge voltage for lithium and these do that. I set them up for 27.6v and they never exceed it. Highly rated. Super reliable. No frills. I've also used one of these's light output for my 15a dc-dc converter which has powered our 12v system for like 3 years flawlessly. I've tried a few mppt controllers and they rarely put out more energy than these. Mind you I would not use a 39v panel on a 12v system as you'll not get much power out of it. It's best to have the panels just a bit higher voltage than the pack. With this controller you can dial the charge voltage all the way up to 34.0 volts - so I could extract a bit more power out of my panels by getting a bit higher voltage (like 9 cells in series) but I don't want to rebuild the 600 lb battery. Max volts on my aims 24v inverter is 31 so 9 in series would be good.
