The end spanner is too big . ....... Not happy I have just purchased a renogy panel with mc4 connectors and these are supposed to be renogy but theyre clearly not as they don't fit

A handy tool but could do with being made from a harder plastic, in my opinion.

This tool has various lugs for opening MC4 connectors and a spanner for tightening the cable gland. It's made of flexible plastic, which means that the lugs tend to bend before unlocking the connector tabs. You're better off using your fingers to push the tabs in. The spanner end is too big for any of my connectors, so that's useless too. I've got another one of these that came bundled with a set of connectors. That one's blue, made of thicker less flexible plastic and actually works.

The spanner part is too large for the end nut you are trying to tighten. Essentially, useless.

BEWARE The end spanner does not fit the gland nut. It is too big. So these two items cannot be a Renogy gen product had to use a pair of molegrips to hold the nut the, rest works fine nit MC 4

As per a previous review, the end spanner is too big to fit the MC4 plug. Very disappointing

This worked great for disconnecting solar panels while working from the roof. Once you get the proper angle, it will be easy to use this tool. Also having two was good because I ended up dropping one and used the other that was in my pocket.
