I just ordered the Xbox/Windows digital code and I was wondering if I would receive an email with the code or if it will be mailed?

You should have it as soon as you buy it on amazon. Try going to your orders, click on the purchase of the game and the code should be shown there.

Does this digital code work for the xbox series s?

Yes and a very big NO. You can buy the code and install it on an xbox s, but it won’t install unless you have Xbox’s extra cloud gaming service ($20.00/month plus tax - $240/yr.) This is completely deceiving and not said when buying the code. If you get an XBOX x, it’ll run natively, without the cloud gaming service - ripoff.
