Can this be used and controlled as a standalone dehumidifier, meaning not integrated into the hvac system?

I see the unit has a 5 year warranty, is the a parts only for that time period or does it include labor and parts (bumper to bumper)?

do I need to buy additional items to install this with my hvac system? Or is everything included?

In order to connect this item to an hvac system, there would be a need for duct work. If the unit is being wired to an hvac system, extra wiring would be required. Drain tubing does not come with this unit.

Should this unit be installed with a drain pan? Is there one that fits this device? My installation will use a gravity drain, not a pump.

Hello, If this unit is going to be installed in an area above a living space, or where there is a possibility of the drain it is flowing into overflowing, then we recommend using a drain pan.
