Hunt A Killer: R.I.P at The Rodeo, Mystery Box Game for True Crime Fans

This is the second Hunt a Killer game my family has played in the past two months; we really enjoy the puzzle aspects and working together to crack the aspects of the case. This was rated two diamonds out of five for difficulty, and took about 90 minutes. The first one was also rated two diamonds but took us longer - once you've got the hang of the paperwork format, it goes a little faster. The box says for 14+ and I would agree with that; the coroner's report was graphic and there are mild sexual references. Just be aware this is not the party experience where you dress up as characters in the story - this game involves a lot of quiet reading then comparing notes and impressions. If that sounds fun to you, you'll enjoy it!

Really fun and challenging. Everyone dressed their parts and enjoyed the game. Used all the clues along the way. Took about 2.5 hours to finish.,

You can actually figure out who the killer is, however, their web site doesn't always give you the proper response. I guessed wrong the first time( 2 top suspects), and the website told me the actual killer wasn't guilty...ended up putting all the characters in one at a time to have them all innocent. My husband entered our top suspect on his phone and it told him this was the killer. I tried again and it still said keep looking. We played an extra 30 minutes because they need to work on the website. I finally entered a nickname and it gave me a guilty verdict...very frustrating. It would have been a 5 star til then.

These games are so great. I am collecting them all! The only downside is that you can only play it once (unless you have a terrible memory) but I don’t mind that.

This one sucked. The cypher and clues ran you in circles and was non-sensible. Frustrating compared to other games in the series.

Fun activity for a small group.

Great mystery. It’s definitely suitable for most ages, I’d say about 14+. I’m 17 and this only took me an hour to solve it all. I got the Rip at the rodeo. The design is great, it’s easy to get a start at where you want to explore first. Readability was fairly good, may be difficult for others but online towards the bottom of the hints, you can find them online version of all the stuff given inside the box. The lock took me 25 minutes to get open without looking at the online files, which includes reading everything. Online files were fairly easy to solve. Make sure to look all over every item as some hints and information may be somewhere else. But overall this is a really good mystery to solve!

Great game

The game was perfect: not too hard, not too easy, and we were able to share the clues between the 3 of us without the need to copy them. How would have thought that the killer was... nah! I'm joking. Play it, if you want to know!

Arrivato da lunga distanza con la scatola rotta. Sarà l'ultimo Hunt a killer. Anche perchè ormai la qualità dei giochi recenti è calata drasticamente. Questo dovrebbe essere uno degli ultimi della vecchia gestione.

Worth the money for a date night. Decently fun to solve the mystery, well written and executed.
