I recently purchased the 9” x 11.5”, 50 PCs, Matte option of these Matte Thermal Laminating Pouches, and I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed. These laminating sheets exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and performance, and I’ll definitely be buying them again. I’ve bought this several times and it is my favorite after trying several others. It feels sturdy, although I’ve brands that are sturdier I prefer this one. It’s super simple to use and the pages are never cloudy or “scratchy” looking.

Perfect for my teacher posters and decor. The regular laminating sheets are too shiny making it difficult to read some signs due to the lighting. The ONLY thing is that unlike regular laminating sheets you cannot write on these with dry erase markers.

beautiful matte laminate, has a buttery feel to it

Matte pouches are harder to find - I'm so glad I tried these. Exactly what I was looking for! Beautiful matte that doesn't seem to wash out the colors in photos or graphics. Looks stunning with black and white photos. I wanted it for matte bookmarks and am very happy with the quality and the look. The laminate sticks well, the pouches are simple to use, and are a perfect thickness for the purpose.

I tried this product because I had problems with another 3Mil Matte Finish Laminating Pouch product. I really hoped that the Llama brand product would be the answer. The issue that I ran into with the Scotch brand Matte Laminating Pouches was that there occasionally was air pockets and when using a corner rounding tool and many times the edges were separated and the corners wouldn't trim off. This did not matter how many times that I ran it through my Scotch laminator and was the reason I looked for another solution. That specific problem wasn't an issue with the Llama brand laminating pouches which made me quite happy. Unfortunately from the very beginning I noticed that there was some kind of sparkly effect when I viewed the card going through the laminator from the very beginning and uncovered the full depth of the issue later. When I started trimming a few proxy cards one night I noticed a clear seam from a shallow cut when held up to a light, and depending on where I held the card more scratches would appear. This was all over the cards. Everything appeared decent in low lighting but defects were quite apparent under lighting. When viewing the Scotch brand cards against the Llama cards it is quite apparent that there were no scratches evident with the Scotch brand laminating paper. When viewing lamination from the Llama brand it showed scratches even though the surfaces these were on were relatively clean. Taking a further critical look the Llama product leaves a more dull finish. Additionally the Scotch brand was smooth to the touch, whereas the Llama finished product feels waxy. Even though it's not easy to catch the defects in photo I will attach a picture example. I tried addressing the scratch issue by running this through the laminator 3 times and I tried both 3 and 5 Mil settings. The laminator itself I am sure causes some of the scratching but the scratches lie in both directions and are not apparent with the Scotch brand product, even though I can't say that product is a perfect answer.

Fabulous. No shine. Worked great in my scotch brand laminator. My other laminator wasn't hot enough to get a good seal.

These pouches work well in a standard lamination machine and are easy to trim. The finish is non-reflective but remains too opaque post-lamination.

These matte pouches are fantastic. I make small business card size contact cards. They are printed on normal 28lb paper and after laminating a sheet using these Llama laminating pouches and a heat laminator, I cut them to the small business card size. The edges are sealed tightly and there are no bubbles. The best part is : I can write additional information on them with a pencil or pen.
