I ordered these strainers mainly for the small one. I have a larger metal one that works for noodles and other bigger dishes, but I needed a smaller one to drain smaller items so it's not so bulky. This is a really durable set. The silicone is thick, and the drain holes are a nice size for the water or other liquid to flow through easily. The smaller one's holes are a little bigger than I wanted because I drain tea leaves when I make sun tea and the tea goes right through them. The plastic around the outside of the silicone and the handles is strong and durable. It should hold up to the heat of boiling water. My favorite thing about these strainers is that they are collapsible. They are easy to open and close and it makes it so easy to store as they don't take up much space in my cupboard. They are easy to clean as you can throw them in the dishwasher. Overall, a great value.
