The Psychiatric Interview

I took a while to review this product because I wanted to read this book to get the experience and be honest. This book is very informative. Pocket size, easy to carry. Pages are thick, not easily torn. I am happy with my purchase. It was recommended by my preceptor, and I would recommend to all PMHNPs and students.

I purchased this book for class. I am in the home stretch of finishing my psychiatric nurse practitioner degree and would definitely recommend this to anyone on this track. There are so many great interview techniques for all types of patient encounters! Worth every penny.

This is a small book that is easy to carry around for clinical references, etc. the school I currently attend highly recommends this book. This copy is filled with great examples and explanations. Easy to read.

This pocket guide is so insightful. I use it almost daily! It has the most important details that you must know as a psychiatric provider. It has wonderful tips and tricks for remembering DSM-5 criteria, and it has great worksheets in the back. I think it would be helpful for any health care worker in behavioral sciences.

When I ordered this book, I was not expecting it to be pocket-sized! However, Dr. Carlat's book contains a wealth of clinical pearls and interview strategies for various patient types. As a student, this book helped me feel more comfortable in the psychiatric interview. Would highly recommend.
