Better than I expected. This one is as good as any I have seen build-wise. It is a bit noisy as it ratchets, but that's fine as it locks in and releases perfectly. Hose is of excellent quality. I was going to change the fittings to low-restriction fittings, but these are excellent and less restrictive than some of my old ones, so I think they are fine for my needs. Leader hose is much longer than typical, which is one reason I wanted to buy this one. There are no issues as far as hose rewinding, as the spring mechanism is strong, so I kind of wish I got the longer hose ... I don't think there would have been any problem rewinding it. Looks great and very professional on my wall. Easy to mount and of a nice weight - not too heavy but super-strong frame.

Very recommended, especially for a small garage. We hung it from the ceiling to save space, and it works great. The reel feels heavy-duty, the hose has good reach, and the auto rewind is very convenient. Great quality and a smart way to keep the garage organized. This works great. A few things to keep in mind: 1. As you unwind the hose, you will hear a clicking sound. That means the lock is engaged and you can release the hose without it rewinding. To rewind, just pull the hose until you don't hear the clicking and it will rewind all the way. You may want to keep a hand on it if you have deployed a fair amount of hose just to control the speed. 2. This item comes with the hose coiled around the spool. 65 feet of hose is pretty heavy, so I found that deploying nearly all of the hose prior to installation made the task a lot easier. 3. Installation on a wall is pretty easy as two of the screw holes are key eyes this allows you to screw one of your screws (a top one) into the wall and then hang the unit on that screw while you complete the installation (putting in the other 3 screws. The screws provided are sufficiently robust. 4. The kit includes some pretty thick wall anchors, but I would recommend making sure you catch a stud with at least two of the screws. Loaded, this reel is pretty heavy, and you will be pulling on it. As I mentioned, wall installation was easy for one person. If you plan to mount it on the ceiling you might want to get someone to help you. 5. I mounted this on a wall that my compressor is adjacent to. If you are going to mount this on a ceiling or on a wall that is not right next to your compressor, you may need a longer supply hose. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and functionality of this reel and the accompanying hose. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

I bought just off of reviews but still I have to say I am pleasantly surprised this hose reel is REALLY well made. I bought this one even though it was a little more than other and now I'm glad I did. The base that attaches to the wall is wider than others and is more stable with 45 bolts instead of just two and the hose is super flexible and high quality. It's really heavy duty and well made. I have it set up in my garage and it's so easy to air up my truck, rttiding mower etc. A+++

First and foremost I do think the product itself is 5 stars - the reel is good quality and hose it way more flexible than my previous. However the reason for 4 stars is the mounting hardware is absolute garbage and the instructions are terrible. The supplied screws DO NOT fit in the anchors. The screws are too big for the anchors so they seized up as I screwing them in causing the anchors to spin inside the dry-wall which then caused the hole to collapse (photo below shows where the screw stops inside the anchor).. Second, the instructions tell you to drill a 3/8" hole for the anchor but that size is too big (which contributed to the anchor spinning situation). Lastly, if you are mounting this to a fixed wall it's a PITA because only 2 of the 4 holes are keyhole shaped and the reel blocks you from using a normal drill/driver on the other 2. Why didn't they just make all 4 holes keyhole shaped? Do yourself a favor and just use your own mounting hardware and completely disregard the instructions, or buy a product with better mounting options.

This reel works as well as the commercial units that I had at my work. It mounts to the wall easily with the provided hardware (hint: un-spool all of the hose before mounting it, it will make it much lighter to lift). I would not recommend mounting to drywall directly, there is lot of force on the bracket when pulling out the hose and it will likely pull out of the wall. Find some good solid studs and hang a piece of 3/4" plywood between them. The quick-connect coupler on the end of the hose appears to be decent quality and it couples/decouples easily, even under pressure. It uses standard M-style male couplers. My only concern is the quality of the included hose. Time will tell and I will update this review if I see issues. As one other reviewer noted, I had one side of the reel with a flat-spot on it. The box was in perfect condition and this appears to be a manufacturing defect rather than any sort of shipping damage. It doesn't affect operation, so I did not send it back. I've seen complaints that the 65' hose version doesn't fit on the reel well, but I've had no issues. I tend to spool the hose back-and-forth as it rolls-up to spread out the packing of the roll.

Ok, I can say this...... I can not believe how long I waited to do this.... I always used my Air Hoses, less than I really wanted to, due to the annoying after task, of ROLLING BACK the air supply hose. This I purchased this item,as my own gift for Christmas this year.... I am an older dude, have worked in my farm shops, wood working shop for decades...... and ALWAYS hated to deal with Air Hoses, unless no options were present. I installed this, WOW,, Now i have the 65 foot range. It stays up at ceiling out of way. No connect of disconnect from compressor, Just pull hose, change tool on hose etc....Done.... Then it rewinds, and no issues with the hose . 65 feet of this hose reaches most areas i need in shop.... I can,t believe, I now use this air compressor every day............even though like most my tools are all battery powered....... BUT AIR IS THE ANSWER FOR MANY THINGS...... great product....... READ INSTRUCTIONS... When Pulling out, every revolution you will hear loud CLICKING,, this is the time you gently release your pulling pressure, it Locks in Place.....

I can't believe I went so long without one of these. This works great but be careful when mounting, this is fairly heavy. Cant say enough how well it works and is well made. Highly recommend!
