Works well for me as far as I can tell. No hiccups or pauses or weak arc's when welding. Will need if you want a small hose clamp for extra grip on the wire. Also if you're new to welding like me and never has one. These are very hard to open. Im strength enough to open jt for like my table thickness and a 3/16plate anymore will require Brian Shaw level strength.

These are nice clamps but they do not open up very far. You also have to cut your existing ground cable to install this clamp. For that reason, I decided to return this clamp and purchase another clamp which allowed me to utilize a bolt on style clamp.

They work great. But, you better bulk up to open these bad boys! I don't think my car springs are this strong!

I actually got this specifically as a heating clamp, and it works great for that use. I needed something that could hold components that I needed to hit with a blowtorch, but needed to move around to get at various angles of the item, and this was fantastic. Clamped really nicely on there, and the heat transfer was very minimal, I could actually hold the clamp itself the entire time without worry about getting burned even without gloves. The spring tension is very tight, takes some effort to open up, but it helped make sure that I didn't have to worry about the item suddenly popping out while it was red hot. All in all, for what I needed for, it worked phenomenally!

It's a fairly small claim a little larger than your hand however the spring has excellent power it's built well solid browns doesn't heat up when welding a big improvement over the clamps that most stock welders come with today

It’s very stiff and the jaws don’t open as wide as needed if your table has an edge.
