Love this thing
So my old computer had the old version of windows and would no longer work. This machine has come in very handy and I have nothing but great things to say about it. I use this for downloading files and watching some YouTube videos on how to DIY dang near everything. It’s definitely priced to move. It’s very quiet. Well put together and does not take forever to load up.

Pleasantly Surprised
I like the system for the following reasons.1) Setup is flawless.2) It is quiet and cool.3) It actually includes an optical drive even the ad says no optical drive!4) It is fast. 32 GB Ram +2TB SSD5) The internet speed is up to my Metronet limit.6) The box is light.7) It has an extra slot for a HDDI will come back to comment if something goes wrong.

Dell ships broken products; & deliberately makes access to customer service difficult.
In addition to the problem described below and to the two full days I have spent trying to resolve it, I have spent many hours paging through help forums, I would add that I just spent 3 hours trying to get through to Dell and was not able to reach a single person. Even their AI chat was unavailable. The menu system on their web page requires information that is, as best I can tell, not located on the computer itself or the box it came in, and does not let you reach anyone there who might be able to help until that information is supplied. No page I saw on this “no help” interface gave you the option of saying you had another problem not listed nor any way to reach a person. So I spent about $600 of my own money on a computer which, so far as I can tell, is useful only as a doorstop. This was my 6th computer from Dell. But I was frustrated and enraged by this experience, and I would not recommend this product to anyone else. Nor am I likely buy another computer from Dell. If anything goes wrong, do not count on getting any support with a reasonable investment of time or via a rational menu system. That things go wrong occasionally is inevitable. But customer service this bad is necessarily by design.I recently purchased a Dell Business desktop, a Vostro 3910, for my personal use via Amazon. It arrived, I believe about 4 days ago, though I did not mark my calendar. I am living in an assisted living facility recovering from a bad concussion, and I sometimes lose track of the time. I believe it was broken when it arrived. Specifically it did not put any display on my monitor. It initially seemed to me that the problem was more likely due to some mistake of mine in the set-up, given my limited computer knowledge, than that Dell’s quality control was allowing computers to be shipped pre-broken. I no longer believe this, for reasons that will become clear. When the package arrived the box was undamaged and the computer itself had no visible damage. The internal padding in the shipping box seemed quite adequate. I connected it to a monitor via the HDMI port, The monitor remained dark, not just unclear but completely unlit, except for the “on” light which was lit. The green power light on the back of the computer and the white light in the “on” button on the front were both lit and steady. I pluged it into a surge protector which I plugged into a different outlet. The result was the same,I have a 15-year old computer that is still running the OS it came with, Windoiws 7. It is the computer this new Windows 11 computer was intended to replace. But its monitor is working, so I swapped the monitors. Screen still dark. I noticed that the new computer also had a DisplayPort socket, so I went out and bought a DisplayPort cable, and tried reconnecting each monitor to the new computer with that. Both remained dark when connected to the new computer. After swapping the monitors back, I found the monitor connected to the old computer via HDMI still worked, while the monitor connected to the new computer remained dark.I am still hoping that Dell can tell me that I am doing something wrong that I can instead do right, as I would rather not lose a week or two shipping the computer back and forth to some Dell facility. I intended not post a review of this experience on Amazon until dwell had a chance to remedy the problems described, but my complete inability to reach Dell, even by email, prevented that.I look forward, without much hope, to a prompt and adequate resolution of this problem.

I regret buying this
The delivery was extremely slow. I know that perhaps that shouldn't be part of a product review but potential buyers should be aware.I checked all the supplied documentation and there was no mention of the required voltage. I assumed that with a US plug that was the voltage and it seems to work but this kind of detail is important. My own fault for mot checking the specs but the optical drive doesn't read (or write) DVDs so is fairly useless. When connecting a screen there is no VGA output, and I had problems trying to use the HDMI output. The only option I think is called DVI, and not many screens use this kind of input so I had to buy a new screen and even then the shop assistant had to check many screens in the store before finding one with the correct input. I will remember in future to only buy computers from a physical store and not online.Customer support was helpful.
