Battery died, needed new. While open I cleaned and repasted heatsink and noticed fan was getting quite dirty and the fins very delicate. Reassembled with slightly cleaner old fan (camera brush and canned air). Temps improved 6°C, used Kingpin kpx to repaste. Ordered this fan. Installed and it spins 800-1k slower while lowering temps another 7°C. I didn't think stock fan was that bad. Honestly, might be just a better fan than Dell used, as it seems cooler than when laptop was new. I recommend cleaning and repasting your laptops, they get dirtier than PC from lint and such. And, install this fan. Should really extend the system life.

First part was wired wrong, replacent part matched OEM part wiring pattern and worked as expected. Seller replaced part promptly upon receiving confirmation of defect return. Satisfied.

This fan works great on my laptop.

I have basically zero repair experience and replaced this fan in my Dell laptop using a YouTube video. The swap took about 20 to 30 minutes with a small Philips screwdriver. Screw holes lined up and the connector matched perfectly and the loud grinding whirling noise is gone. My laptop now runs better with no issues and it’s noticeably more quiet. Doing this myself save me a ton of money so don’t be afraid to try it.

This unit came with the tools to pop the back of the cover off the laptop which was really nice since I didnt really have screw drivers that small or the plastic wedge.
