This is a good case for the Tascam X6. It's spacious, with plenty of room for additional bits in there too. I often put a dead cat (windshield) in the case with the recorder which adds a nice extra bit of cushioning protection and its great to have it all in one nice, sturdy, neat package for when I'm out in the field. I've also found I can fit a small power bank in there too when required. The Tascam X6 is a great piece of kit, but it is made from flimsy plastic and doesn't feel very robust. Especially when I compare it to my other recorders - I feel it is definitely the more flimsy and precarious of them all. This is why this case really is a must if you plan to take the Tascam X6 out on journeys with you. I could never just place the X6 in a bag without a case - I can almost guarantee it wouldn't survive for wrong. Do yourself a solid if you have this recorder and grab this for extra protection. I have also used this with my Tascam DR100 MK III too and it fits this model really well too which is a nice bonus. I can't say for certain, but I'd imagine it would be a good fit and suitable for a wider range of larger portable recorders than advertised. It might be worth doing some measurements and checking the dimensions of this case to see if your recorder would fit. The zip seems strong and it hasn't let me down so far with a lot of use.

Having just bough a Tascam Portacapture X8 for making some field recordings, the sensible move was to make sure I had a reasonable case for it when it was being moved around. This one does the job without being too large or moving to a hard plastic case. Whilst it offers some protection, I'm not sure if it was dropped from a big height how much protection it would actually offer - particularly to the mics. There's just enough space inside to store the WS86 windscreen and a data/charging cable. Seems well built and does everything I need it to without being overly bulky.

Great quality and seems sturdy and tough. Haven’t used long but I thing the zips should last if you don’t over pack it. Gods value considering all and lots of device fit well. I used with gopro and also a couple of other field recorders and it worked well. Would be better if it had a smaller loop/strap and if the zips had holes so you could lock with a small padlock.

I really wouldn’t be without this case. It fits the Tascam x8 perfectly even with a foam head fitted and it’s good to have the pocket for various accessories. The case is sufficiently hard and should keep of the elements well though I’m not going to go swimming with it. Overall, a solid buy and well worth the money.

Excellent and gives great protection this hard case. Good strong zip and a good piece of retaining elastci so your contents cannot move or rub against items placed in the netting pouch on the other side. Perfect fit for the Tascam Pro Capture 8 or earlier models.

Fits perfectly with solid design and build. Handy extra pockets for usb and other accessories, tascam will be safe when out doing fieldwork. Nice.

It's well made, but the case is too big for the X6 by over 1 cm. The product image on the Amazon listing shows a perfect fit which is what I want as it means less movement inside the case. Pity as the build quality looks really good and would have been perfect otherwise. Returning as I want a case that holds the X6 properly.

Me gusta que es rígido y protege bien la grabadora, entra perfectamente y tiene una rejilla donde puedes meter además de la grabadora, el deadcat, o en mi caso una powerbank. Contento con la compra.

Misschien fijn om te weten: er passen twee Tascam Dr40's in deze case, alleen is die dan wel echt vol.

I use this for 2 portable SSD drives that I have and they fit perfectly! Easy to use and store in my cart on luggage. I like the design and it is functional for travel.
