I just received this yesterday I like ordering it on day and receiving it the next. I have to admit I was a little nervous about ordering this because the model numbers didn’t match up with the model of the radio it indicated that it would fit a UV-5R and I need to fit a UV-5R5 an older model. Luck was on my side and it mated perfectly. Now for the good stuff 1. It’s a usb-c charger.2 it took a little over a half hour to fully charge will still charge in the standard charger. 3 it only took a little over 30 minutes to fully charge .4 it comes in a two pack so it was cheaper than purchasing them one at a time. Would I purchase them again you bet (by the way I’m really into usd-c charging)

This battery fit my BF-F8HP perfectly. I have one radio that is about 6 years old and one that is brand new and it fits perfect on both. They charged in about 2.5 hours from the shipping charge to full and function as they should. I just ordered two more so I’m guaranteed to have a full battery for any hunting or off road trips although they can be easily charged via the USB port in my RV, SXS or truck. They can also be charged on the OEM 120v dock. I would definitely make the jump if using a BF-F8HP because it pushes 8 watts and needs extra battery. Nice to have spares in the back pack!

Excellent, both in capacity and USB C compatibility. How is Baofeng still selling UV-5Rs with only a cradle charger in 2026?

Fit on my BeoFeng UV-5G (5X). Recommended! Very easy install. I like it that I could charge it with USB-C.

Originally the battery didnot fit the radio body.i was pissed. However, we shaved the plastic on the front of the battery and it finally fit. I would have given these batteries a 1 but changed to 4. I love the USB-C charging. We used them while driving 2 cars 2000 miles, 4 days of 10+hrs of use/day. Worked great. Lots of power to spare.

I've tried other extended batteries that claimed 3800mah... cut one open to find it had 2600mah cells in it after the BMS went out, now I have a USB Charge tester and was able to put in 3500mah in these after just one discharge, they will get better after a few cycles, also the BMS may be cutting them off sooner and that's why only 3500mah.. so yes these seem to be as advertised..
