I bought this book for my 4 year old nephew - I hadn’t read it but I really enjoyed this author’s book about friendships. This has not disappointed! Beautifully written (simple and profound at the same time) with delightful illustrations - this book covers so many angles about diversity in an easy to read and understand format for children (and adults). I love the interaction throughout with the reader, encouraging thoughtful discussions and empathy, and the brilliant confidence boosting activities at the end. I haven’t had chance to give it to my nephew yet, but I have found my own daughters 8 and 11 both reading it! I wish I had had access to this book when I was younger and felt sometimes that I didn’t fit in.

The author’s previous book on friendship has become a firm favourite in our house and this second book is just as wonderful. A celebration of diversity and empathy with gentle words and fun illustrations. Championing differences, encouraging curiosity and respect, building confidence in ourselves and others. The activity section at the end of the story provoked some thoughtful conversations with my children and really encouraged them to think about themselves as individuals and diversity within their own friendships. I thoroughly recommend this book.

Another great book from this new author. Sensitively written in a way that explains why people are different and how to be accepting and understanding of these things. Creating a great foundation for a child to grow up into an empathic and generally very nice adult! Once more the illustrations are simply delightful. The section on activities at the end is very thought provoking and will certainly get those little minds working. I would definitely recommend this book.

A wonderful book on friendship and how we're all different in glorious ways. A lovely message on diversity to share with your little ones to open up conversations on how we are all different and indeed unique. The illustrations are beautiful.

This wonderful little book is perfect for every child. It gently encourages them to consider how they are different from, and similar to other people. The author explains differences in such a way that the reader thinks of them as being completely positive and non-threatening. I particularly liked the last few interactive pages that create the perfect opportunity for parents to discuss differences with their children.

A fun but meaningful read. Great for starting up a conversation with young (or maybe even older) children about all kinds of differences between people, with a focus on empathy and tolerance. The quirky illustrations managed to capture the interest of my two boys (3 and 6).

Covers a broad range of themes and delivers many inclusive and positive messages. Ive found it helpful to use in my primary school, plus with my own kids at home. Lots of great discussions generated from the ideas and illustrations. Highly recommend - I've found other books quite dated.

This is a great introduction book about diversity. It contains cute illustrations to reinforce the theme of the book and it teaches kids how to be kind to others as well. The book also has an activity at the end to reflect on what makes each of us unique and different.

La diversidad nos enriquece y eso es precisamente lo que este libro quiere mostrar a los niños. A través de dos niños que tienen un compañero nuevo en clase el libro muestra cómo todos somos distintos en color, idiomas, cultura e incluso tradiciones, diferencias que crean curiosidad e interés en los niños y les muestran que es algo positivo.
