The DVR worked out of the box. The first screen states easy setup and it could'nt have been simpler. Live and recorded video quality is superb and area selection to zoom can be done in both live and playback. The only let down is the Android mobile app XMeye which only worked once and I have since removed it but the Evtevision app does work at the moment. The DVR is totally silent in operation and can be controlled by mouse or the supplied remote control. I asked only one question of the supplier and had a reply almost instantly so it looks like customer support is on the ball. The instructions state that the DVR will only auto detect AHD camera's and the other supported types must be added manually but all my camera's are TVI and the DVR did automatically detect them and set them up. If I require any more surveillance equipment then Westshine will be my first choice.

I set this up in 2023, instructions are not set out very clearly. The DVR was OK for 8 months of full time usage. The mobile app is not Ad free which is a pain. After this time my fitted Hard Drive failed so I fitted another this lasted 30 minutes and then failed. Time for a new DVR. Hikvision DVR on order. I feel 8 months is poor.

Item worked for 4 months and not very well at that, before i had to return. System decided to lock up on its own rendering it completely useless. Picture was always very noisy and grainy despite playing around with all the settings. Buyers BEWARE, this is a cheap and nasty DVR that isn't fit for purpose with technical support based in China which is a complete joke. Bought a more expensive DVR now and using exactly the same camera's as before and the picture quality is absolutely amazing right out of the box. Remember if you buy cheap, you'll end up buying twice. DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!

Had to return the first - initially I wasn't able to view my cameras on a PC over the internet as described Westshine sent me a replacement and this worked as described, and I can now connect and view my cameras from my PC over the internet. I suspect it might have been user error in the first instance? It is a good product at a great price.

i bought this as an upgrade from my old dvr as i had a new HIKVISION HD camera that would only work on a hybrid dvr. I done a lot of research before committing to this box and im very happy with it. i think its worth the extra few quid it costs over other boxes. this box automatically recognises my 2 HIK cameras and my other 6 960H analog cameras. recording all on the HDD i bought separately (Seagate SkyHawk 1 TB 3.5 inch Internal Hard Drive for 1-64 Camera Surveillance Systems)

Ho provato altre marche più famose e più costose come ankee . La differenza è sostanzialmente nella facilità d'uso del sistema operativo, Il Westshine è di gran lunga molto più facile da visionare ed immagazzinare i vari filmati. Tra i settaggi del DVR c'è il sensore di movimento, riconoscimento volti e human detect (riconoscimento corpo umano) Il tutto con tecnologia di compressione video H265+ che rende i file video da visionare molto più leggeri in termine di memoria. Se avesse un file manager interno per la creazione di cartelle sarebbe il top dell'usabilità. Molto soddisfatto per la facilità d'uso e immediatezza soprattutto confrontato con altre marche più blasonate che sono più complicate e poco intuitive da utilizzare.

Primero compre uno, por precio, pensando que seria un producto muy sencillo. La verdad es que funciona muy bien, y la app para el movil va perfecta. Uno lo tengo con 2 camara AHD analogicas funcionando desde hace meses. Perfecto! El otro lo he configurado para camaras IP y soporta perfectamente camaras ONVIF y NETIP (Hikvision) asi como, sorpresa, ve perfectamente un DVR analogico antiguo que tengo en la red local y puedo recuperar las imagenes de todas las camaras de ese DVR. Me va perfecto por que ese equipo no tiene disco duro por que cascó y me ahorro comprarle uno. Uso el software CMS en un PC y la configuracion es muy sencilla.
