I live off grid and use this pump to move rain water from my collection barrel to my kitchen sink. I have had it for a long time. It came with lots of fittings and even some thread tape. It takes up very little space under my kitchen sink and it is on demand. The pump is not continually running. When I turn my faucet on it runs, when I turn my faucet off it shuts off. While in operation it's not very loud which is nice. It was easy and install. It provides excellent water pressure. I have mine connected to a 2.5 gallon plug in water heater and I have had no issues in 3 years. There have been times where I accidentally ran my catchment out of water and it had no effect on the pump. Thankfully, as your usually not supposed to run these dry.

I love these pumps. One I bought over two years ago has started acting up, so I bought another just in case. I installed it on the feed water line to my house, and it works perfectly. It still pumps fine, but doesn't always shut off when it reaches pressure. I can hear it slightly clicking. I'm sure it's just an adjustment.(the shutoff is adjustable) I love having great water pressure throughout my entire house, and you can imagine what it's like using a hose outside. You can't go wrong with these little guys.

Installed it with a timer so it is running 15 minutes every other hour at the rim of our fishpond to feed a basin growing Papyrus and the plants are growing better than ever before and look healthy as never before

Update- second day installed and plastic cover over filter came off and is cracked in half! Water everywhere! DO NOT BUY! Junk junk junk. Not impressed at all. I installed it in my little camp and it’s so loud it sounds like I have a generator in my house. So loud you can’t hear yourself think!

Pump worked as advertised. Easy hook up. Powers up on demand to help out the low pressure coming from my water tower. I hope it last.

I got this pump installed to add pressure to a sprinkler system. At first I tried using a timer in front of the pump to turn the water on and off at selected time intervals, but the pump would not sense the flow and pressure on the inlet side and ran continuously when it was switched on. The pump switch will only work if you have flow control on the outlet side of the pump. AND in addition, the outlet side must be completely leak free or else the pump will detect a tiny amount of flow and it will try to run sporadically. I did not see any info on this in the ad and didn't see this explained in the instructions I got, so through some trial and error, I finally got it to function...but it was not what I wanted for my particular set up. So, yes, the pump does work, but I think the ad is a little misleading by not explaining how the pressure/flow switch operates. On the positive side, when the pump running it did a fantastic job and provided plenty of pressure and flow and is relatively quiet. This pump is really meant for operating an interior faucet or something like that where flow is controlled with a valve at the very end of the line, not somewhere in the middle like a sprinkler system which kinda defeats the self priming function since to operate correctly the pump will always need to have pressure on the inlet side or else it will try to "prime" itself continuously. This was just my experience with the pump, hopefully the info might help someone else decide if it will work for your situation.
