Our previous one was showing signs of wear, looking at a replacement and found this particular one which uses the same cartridges which we still had . Most noticeable difference is the colour as our previous one had a white lid , this is a very dark blue . The colour is not the only change , the lid has a separate opening so refilling is certainly a lot easier as the previous model’s lid was all in one which meant removing the entire lid for refilling. It also seems more ergonomic and fits in the bottle holder door of the fridge perfectly. The filtered water tastes as great as ever .

Bought this for our cat as I have read that cats don’t enough hydration from their food especially if they eat dry food and this could cause health complications when they are older apparently . So I bought this to filter tap water as again I read that cats don’t particularly like tap water as they can smell what chemicals that are used to clean the tap water at source. This filter jug is amazing he is now drinking more than he did before which was the plan and it worked out well . I should mention we live in Scotland so not sure if it would have the same effect elsewhere.
