A quality flashlight
I have another older model of this flashlight with removable battery for charging which is getting temperamental, so i purchased this as a replacement. It is slightly larger than the older one and the overall configuration is completely different i.e. the on off switch and various light levels are on a circular thumb wheel around the front body of the flashlight rather than a push button as on the older model. There is no battery to remove as the battery is built in to the unit and charging is with a USB-C directly into the flashlight. The light source is powerful on the highest setting as you might expect from fenix and their tactical line of flashlights. An excellent choice for the price if you want to light up a dark area. One full charge will last for quite some time of course depending on usage and level of brightness. Would certainly recommend. It comes with velcro case which easily attaches to your belt if you wish to carry it.

Powerhouse Flashlight!
This lightweight, easy to carry flashlight is a powerhouse. It is my nightly companion when I take my dog for a walk, as itโs exceptional brightness lets me see coyotes that are far away. Well worth the money, it fits in my pocket. It is high quality, looks great and works well. It has several levels of brightness, giving lots of options while walking. It also is rechargeable with any usb-c cable, which is very convenient. If you use it on high for awhile, it gets warm, but never uncomfortably so. Highly recommended!

Super bright and very compact for 3000 Lumen
YES!!! It is very bright and handy. At first I felt the twist dial for light functions would be a problem. The more I used the more I like that! If I put it in my pocket I do not have to worry about it turning on after I have put my hand in my pocket and bumping the end cap. Caution though, being this bright it will get pretty warm. So not using last setting and inadvertent turning on is awesome!!

NICE LIGHT AT THIS PRICE POINT
Product arrived on time and well packaged. I have purchased other Fenix products in the past and have always found them to be a suitable balance between quality, performance, and value for the money. Two thoughts when considering lights like this, First....When they speak of thermal management that generally means that the full output of whatever lumens may only be available for a short period of time before the processor starts reducing output to protect the emitter. That is generally to be expected when a high output LED is utilized. Some more expensive lights may stay at a higher power level longer depending on their level of heat dissipation. Simply stated, read and understand what you are buying. VERY FEW IF ANY thermally managed lights that offer a very high output level stay at that full power level for more than a few seconds. If you need a light for SAR or other purposes that require a high output for a longer period of time you will have to spend more money for what will likely be a larger and heavier flashlight. Second....How well any light fits you depends on the size of the light, its design (Where items like switches are located), and the size of your hand and fingers. This light offers a rotary switch on the head to turn it on, off, or select a power level. But for me with a relatively small hand for a male, it is a bit of a stretch to reach that control surface. I still see value in the light and kept it for certain tasks. For other purposes, like walking our dogs at night where I may need to switch between power levels or to strobe rapidly, I use a light that has the control ring farther back on the body that I can very easily reach and change setting with extreme ease. This IS a good light and I am pleased with it. Your mileage will vary depending on your needs. I would always recommend trying it and if you do not like it...You have the return option open to you.

Best lights I have ever owned, can't beat them for the size and quality!
This is my 3rd Fenix light, absolutely love them. Gave one to a friend (really liked it and I wanted to share the awesomeness), still have my pd36r and now this one. Superbright, quick charge, long battery life. clip right onto my molle backpack. Charges in the car or my powerbank if on a long camping trip. Definitely worth the money. I like the options on the pd36 but I also love this one for the simplicity of not having to remember how to program it.

I like the 2.0 version better. Easier to operate
Not as good as the 2.0. Hard to turn on and off with the twist switch. I like the buttons on the back of my 2.0 version better. It is still and incredibly high powered and high quality light, just, for me, I like the 2.0 better.

Quality light with battery level indicator,100-85%,85-50%,50-25%, 25-1%
It's a good, bright, easy to use/adjust flashlight. I didn't see it in the description, but it does have a "battery level indicator". When you first turn the flashlight on, a "L.E.D." next to the charging port lights up to tell you the battery status: GREEN is 100-85%, GREEN FLASHING is 85-50%, RED signifies 50-25% and RED FLASHING means 25-1%. (This "L.E.D. indicator" shuts off after a few + seconds, so you have to watch for it). I really like having the collar that you rotate to change brightness settings, there is a definite click at each setting, I like this much better than having to click a switch several times to get to the brightness I want. Heat kills electronics; on "turbo setting", you are putting out 3,000 lumens, and you have to get rid of the heat, you can't let it build up inside the flashlight! This light gets the heat out, so you will feel the end of the flashlight get hot, (you want that, that's why Fenix designed it that way)! It does get hot, but you don't just turn "turbo" on and run like that. It's like passing gear in your car, you don't drive down the road in passing gear all the time, you only use it for short burst when you need it, the same with "turbo" (they would call it "HIGH", not "Turbo" if it was just your "HIGH SETTING". The large size #21700 Li.-Ion (5,000 m.Ah.) battery gives it excellent run times and makes it all work, this was the cincher for me to buy this light.

Great Value
As an aircraft mechanic I will say this light has out performed in every area. Super bright. Itโs not too bulky. Itโs also priced perfectly. And convenient usbc port for charging. Very powerful strobe.
