So far this has been the best vacuum I have ever owned. I rarely write reviews but really wanted to say kudos for this vacuum. I hate vacuum shopping. It is so hard to find one that fits your needs. I really wanted a cordless one so it wouldn't be sure a chore to pull out the vacuum and find outlets to plug into so I would almost enjoy vacuuming. Now I just received this vacuum yesterday but I am loving all the features. I have dogs that shed so dog hair all over the house. Vacuums in the past have gotten plugged from the dog hair. This vacuum seems to have enough power and a direct route for the hair to get into the bucket to hopefully prevent getting plugged. We have no carpet in our home other than small welcome mats. I vacuumed my whole house(over 1700 sq.ft.) and the vacuum wasn't even fully charged. This vacuum does a really good job at pulling debris away from walls and corners. I usually pull out the little crevice tool to get against the walls and corners but did not have to do that. I also vacuumed the whole house on the lowest power setting. I love the light to be able to see the floor. Genius in that there is a piece you can take off over the rotating brush to clean it. The hose for using with the tools is nice and long and not stiff so it's easy to maneuver with. When vacuuming it is easy to steer and maneuver the vacuum. Washable filter is another genius part. The bucket that holds all the debris is removable to take apart and wash. There is little tiny brushes along the sides of the vacuum head to brush things away from the walls. The big test will be the longevity of this vacuum.

Let me start of by saying that this vacuum is worth buying. Its versatile to go anywhere and has good pickup of debris on the main floor nozzle when the brush roll is turned on. The brush roll doesn't scatter debris when on, but it actually help pick up debris faster with less passes. Its got good filtration with no apparent leaks. The portability, attachments and configuration allow for thorough cleaning of furniture and unique spaces. Its pretty easy to use to get this sort of functionality out of it as well. Battery life is good in comparison to other vacuums that are out there. I do have to say that its not great but just decent when it comes to cleaning carpets with crevices (most hair and most debris get picked up). It also lacks a little pick up power if tiny debris is stuck against the wall and the floor. Both issues can be solved by simply swapping from the floor nozzle to a small attachment to spot clean wherever necessary. I can definitely recommend purchasing this as long as your gentle and take good care of it. Unfortunately for me, my family are not the same as me and upon their own use a paper got stuck in floor nozzle and instead of detaching the roller head first to gently untangle the paper, they just pulled it out. Once they pulled it out, the roller detached on its own without the button pressed in. After inspecting it, the roller's blue plastic ring on the other end of it had broken off. A couple days after an inquiry message, on their website, about replacing it and they've told me they will send me a new one. I'm pretty satisfied with this vacuum and the quality of their service.

This has been great for our household with two dogs! We mainly use it on our tile and area rugs since that is our main living area, but due to the amount that my dogs shed, I have to use it almost daily. I was surprised with how good the battery life is. I am able to fully vacuum my 1500 sq ft downstairs with no problem. I would not recommend it for fully carpeted areas since I didn’t feel like it had enough suction to really clean those areas well, but for the tile, it works fantastic. I have also had to vacuum up some soil that spilled from a plant, and was surprised at how well it picked it up. Easy to use and an easy canister to dump. Has fantastic mobility and is light enough for me to do my carpeted stairs. Also, love that you can remove the canister and suction hose to use it as a handheld because I can use it to vacuum my car as well. Overall, I’m pretty happy with my purchase after 2 months of use.

I first purchased this B&D pet vacuum in 2018 or 2019 and it is amazing for being a cordless. So great that I just purchased another one for the other part of the house. It picks up cat litter effortlessly and maintains full power until without warning it will suddenly stop when the battery is drained which is great because I don’t have to re-vacuum an area because of reduced suction. It’s very versatile with its swivel power head and removable handheld vacuum. Only small annoyance is having to pull out animal hair from upper rim of the bagless container when emptying. The filter is easy to rinse and needs to be done often if you have animals. So…I decided to purchase another one this year (2022) and that one had a bad motor with poor suction. Amazon, as usual, immediately provided an exchange and this one appears okay so far but I have only used it once for a few minutes so the jury is still out but this motor has the expected suction power. I have had a few cordless upright vacuums and this one is by far superior and glides easily over bare floors. I don’t have regular carpets but my house is full of various throw rugs and 8x10 individual thicker rugs and it does great on those. It’s not comparable to electrical power vacs, but that shouldn’t be expected. This is lightweight and I am disabled with back problems and joint issues and I am able to do quite a bit with this one. I can’t handle the new stick ones with the motor just below the handle, too top heavy. In my opinion, this has great engineering and quality overall and I consider myself to have high expectations when it comes to vacuums and dealing with pet hair and dust in a desert.

TL/DR: Overall, pretty disappointed. First, with the missing parts at delivery and now with it totally broken. Then with a “pet hair” specific vacuum getting so clogged with pet hair that I had to take it apart after five uses and now the flimsy electronics don’t work. I purchased a “used, like new” option to save some money. The package arrived damaged and missing several pieces, including the charging cord, so I had to order that separately at an additional cost. But the vacuum itself didn’t seem to have been used. I was pretty happy with it the first few times I used it - lightweight, suction seemed powerful, canister really easy to empty, filters easy to wash and swap out. Pet hair didn’t get tangled around the brush so much as it just got clogged, but it was easy enough to clean out. Around use 5, though, pet hair was getting so wrapped around the brush that I had to stop vacuuming and clean it out several times. Then one of the rubber bristles came unattached, and the brush stopped spinning/rolling altogether. I decided to give it a “deep clean” to really get all their hair out and make sure there were no clogs. Well, after doing that - taking the brush out and cleaning out hair that had gotten stuck throughout the head - the brush won’t roll at all. I’m guessing the electronics that power the roller are so flimsy that basic, careful maintenance disrupted or disconnected the wires to the point that I can’t get it to work properly anymore. It’s so cheaply made, getting it repaired by a professional will cost more than the product itself (which I’ve already had significant issues with in just a few uses). This product is $200 MSRP and I can get a Dyson V8 for $350. The Dyson is clearly a much better value for cost, performance, and longevity, so I will be purchasing one of those vacuums to replace this recent purchase. For the record: I have four pets (two medium sized dogs and two cats) which is why I’m searching for a vacuum designed to handle pet hair. I have a very small house (750ish square feet) that I keep clean (ie, I’m not vacuuming once a month when things are beyond filthy. I vacuum at least twice a week so nothing gets out of hand for a good vacuum to handle). I have an old Shark that does a decent job, but the canister is so incredibly tiny and the battery life really quite limited that it’s just not the right fit for my needs. It’d be great for a studio apartment with no pets and no exterior doors for dirt to get in.

Just got this product and I'm already thrilled with it. Giving a 3 on battery life at the moment because I have yet to fully charge it prior to a full household use. Pending how it goes I'll update at a later time. My previous vacuum was a shark ion-flex, while it still works and does a good job life has had some changes that it could not hold up to. Now our household is accustomed to 5 long haired dogs and it could not handle the job, after 7 minutes on max it'll overheat or the tank would have to be emptied 8 times to do a 1600 sq ft home. So we set out to find a new cordless vacuum that can handle the job, this search turned up the black and decker. After 2 days of anxiously waiting it finally came. Assembly was extremely easy, pull it out of the box and the handle pops into the bottom, that's all. It took a second to find the charge port as it blends easily into its surrounding. After that it's a wait, the wife couldn't wait till a full charge to even use it. At about half power she popped it off to test it. The transition from tile to carpet is effortless, it does an amazing job getting every nook and cranny including the sliver of a crack between the two. It went up and over the entry way carpet without trying to suck it up either. A vacuums job is to suck, and this little guy is the best sucker I've ever seen. It suctioned up more dog hair in a 5x5 square than our old vacuum did in half the house. Emptying was a breeze, slide the handle down and it compacts it down off of the filter so no more messy hands. So far the best one yet and $100 cheaper than our old shark.

LOVE IT.. This is what vacuuming in 2018 should be like. I felt like I did when i changed from the flip phone to my first Apple. I charged it overnight and took it out for a spin to see if it would work. I was able to vacuum a 3000sq ft single story house with hard flooring and rugs throughout easily on a single charge. The vacuum handles well, very well balanced, and easy to move. It's light and since i have two dogs that shed like they have the mange I have to vacuum every other day. This vacuum had the power to go through the whole house, vacuum two sets of couches, and got all of it. I especially like the feature that changes the level of suction automatically when I get to a rug, and then lowers it when i get back to hard flooring. It definitely gets pet hair. Emptying the canister couldn't be easier, and there is a lever there to push back and forth a few times to get any hair or things off the filter. (really nice touch) I don't know how long the battery is going to run this well, but with the 3 year service plan it's a no brainier.. Just send me another one, since none of the others vacuums of other brands has lasted more than 2 years anyways.

Had this vacuum for just under 2 years and I am already replacing it with something better. We have 2 huskies and it's worked well enough on their hair, when it was actually working. Pros - good suction, roller worked well for awhile at getting hair out of the carpets, love that the canister detached for vacuuming stairs and harder to reach spaces, lightweight, washable filter Cons - canister is TINY and fills up very quickly, roller gets clogged easily, battery life rapidly declines, after about a year of use the power button started only working about half the time and now does not work at all, if you plan on storing it upright it's very unsteady and falls over constantly, have to wash out filter every time you use it Overall - it worked alright but for $200 I expected it to last longer than 2 years, I have a $60 vacuum from Walmart that's lasted 3x as long. I spend more time unclogging the hose, roller, and washing the filter than actually vacuuming. And now after less than 2 years of average usage, the power button no longer works and I'm needing to replace it altogether.

we've only had this vacuum for a week, but I can tell you I was reserved at first, once using it, it became apparent that someone has thought about this. 1) So easy to use. 2) light weight 3) We have two huge golden retrievers, sucks that hair in like there is no tomorrow. 4}SO easy to clean 5)Don't have to worry about switching from bare floor to carpet. We have owned at least 10+ Vacuums and returned almost all of them. I can do our whole bungalow in about 15 minutes, its uses 1/4 of its charge. This is a Must buy if your looking. Especially if you have pets.

This is the best cordless vacuum. We have gone through so many other vacuums and this one is by far the best! Great for pets. Many options. So easy to clean.
