Fits perfectly in the 300 aac blackout
I bought this to help sight in my new 300 black out. At first, I thought it was the wrong size because it's not marked as you other Stikeman's training lasers are, but I have to admit I was wrong it chambered perfectly. I read that some other people had issues with the battery running down after a few shots, or it not working., but after an hour of dry firing I had zero issues. I find it as well built as my other items from Stikeman's and just as reliable . the price is well worth it for the purchase.

Awesome idea, great product. Be sure you snugly tighten the battery compartment.
Really good idea. My wife got me one of these with the target for Christmas in a different caliber. I liked it so much I got this additional caliber. This is one of the products that makes you wonder โwhy did it take so long to be brought to marketโ. One important note. I was having issues with the laser being activated when the charging handle was released rather than upon trigger pull. I took it out to put it away and noticed the battery chamber wasnโt completely screwed down tight (by no more than 1/10 of a turn). That small difference was the issue. So be sure the battery cap is fully screwed snug. The tolerances appear to be pretty small - which makes sense and is a good thing.

Great buy, great practice, great fun!
Not only is this an excellent way to practice shooting but itโs a whole lot of fun too! This was our after thanksgiving dinner entertainment. Fantastic product!

Laser emits a blob and not a dot.
cartridge does not align properly with the barrel causing the laser to reflect off the barrel and not produce a dot. Do not buy this item. Only go for the pistol cartridges as there is list likely to be an issue. This this is far too expensive to have such poor quality

works well. Kills batteries while not in use. Gota take out batteries while not in use.
I'm not crazy upset at this one since it works, but it has some drawbacks. Your average practice laser does not have a circuit to turn it off- so when you press the button, it completes the circuit and the laser stays on. ( so if you release the firing mechanism, the laser will only turn on for the time that it is struck) This laser has a circuit in which no matter how long a firing pin strikes the button, a laser will only fire for a fraction of a second. This is not terrible. it's great actually. The main caveat is that every battery I put inside this thing keeps dying. I'm not sure if the circuit is efficient. I feel like it's design is causing somewhat of a "phantom" power draw. - This can be observed by the slight amount of infrared that can be detected while batteries are inside the unit. Could just be a defect for mine, I don't know. So far, this thing has killed all batteries I placed inside it. I definitely fired less than 20 times. It seems the only way to mitigate unwanted power draw would be to remove the batteries while not in use. Not exactly the most convenient thing to do for this price point.

Works well with the complete system
These are additional laser cartridges for use with the Strikeman dry-fire practice system. Each laser cartridge has internal batteries that power it, a rubbery pad replaces the primer, operates the laser when the firing pin hits it, there are O-rings to center the works in the chamber. One cartridge had dead batteries when I got it, the dollar store had replacements, $1 for a card of 4, three needed. Nothing exotic. I've got the lasers in .40, .45, 9mm and .38 Special. The .38 was the hardest to find, almost everyone was out of stock. Needed it for the M52 S&W auto. Works great. If you're not familiar with the system, it uses the camera on a phone or tablet in conjunction with an app and the supplied target to determine where the laser hits on the target, so a holder is needed for the phone/tablet. Works well, calibration is pretty easy. App scores hits for you, does some other statistics. Has been worth it over just dry firing at the wall.
