3-Plug Version has been Facelifted in 2026
The SK3-0 has been updated. Despite the original pictures all over the net, Eaten has given this a facelift. I've purchased several of these over the years and in August 2026 got another pair for around the house. I noticed they've been redesigned by Eaton (who purchased TrippLite some time ago). It still has the same SK3-0 model number, but the packaging and the unit itself looks a bit different. It also sports 735 Joule Rating, up just a bit from the OG model that had 660 Joule rating I believe. Photos attached. Unit is Genuine. Manufacturing Date on mine shows April 2026 so it must be a recent update. Just sharing.

Seems good but had a slighty loose blade ...
Came in as described. It seems to work well, not having been tested in a power surge yet. The only thing was that one of the three prongs was a bit loose. The ground pin was fine along with one of the two flat blades, but one was a bit loose in that it would slightly rock a bit back and forth. I was trying to remember if I'd seen this in the past with three pronged plugs similar to this style of plug, to see if it was normal. I think I had and that I wouldn't have had any problems with it. I was a bit concerned so I contacted Tripp-Lit technical support and was told that it was normal, and that some of their products are like that where a blade might be a bit loose. I asked if it was a screw or the plastic housing perhaps wasn't as tight around the blade, and he said it was the plastic housing. Anyhow, if this review helps anyone I am glad I'll help you to avoid having to call or search this up.

Updated product design
As others have started to share, the latest fulfillment of this product does not match the product listing’s photos. The plug itself takes on more of a rectangular shape than the more curved round top design of yore. Quality looks to be on par and specs are just as good if not better.
