WOW!!! Impressive quality, comfort & sound!!! The NEGATIVE reviews don't hold up!
I purchased the SkullCandy Crusher ANC-2 after reading many reviews....starting with the 1- & 2-Star reviews. I don't feel the need to read good reviews if I can be content with the bad reviews. Many of the bad and/or negative reviews I read were either about: - Bass overpowering/ inadequate ability to adjust - Noise Cancelling didn't work well enough - Comfort - The 'matte' finish got blemished too easily So to quickly touch on the BEST points about the SkullCandy Crusher ANC-2. - ***** BLUETOOTH Distance WELL OVER 175+ FEET AWAY. Tested this over a 10-minute period in open, unobstructed line-of-sight........and over 60+ feet within a house, many rooms away. - ***** SOUND QUALITY is Clear, Crisp, and seems to auto-adjust (not sure if it does or not) for the music I am listening to....and I listen to pretty much all of the major genres...i.e. Rock, Rap, Country, and even Electronic Dance Music (EDM)....sounds great with all! - ***** COMFORT fit and holds to the head whether you are working out or working in the yard, the SkullCandy Crusher ANC-2 maintains comfortability! - ***** BATERY LIFE IS PHENOMENAL!!!! After my initial charge, I wore the SkullCandy Crusher ANC-2 for a full day (8-hours of play time) and only used 20% of the battery....so the following day, I wore for about another full day again and used 20%....CRUSHER told me I had 60% battery remaining after 2-days of use. - ***** HANDS-FREE Voice control and SK app makes connecting to music easy once set-up properly! As for what most reviews "complained" about....I didn't see an issue with any of them really! - The intensity of the "Crusher" Bass 'can' be turned up/down, however it should be noted that the dial that rolls, also needs to be PUSHED in to make adjustments to bass output....but this is NOT like the "BASS KNOB" on your car radio....meaning, you can not adjust the bass the near-0...or even to a "4-level", to be honest. The headphones are made to put a bit more bass-bump into your ears. PERFECT for gym time and those audiophiles! - I mentioned my thoughts about comfort above. - The MATTE FINISH IS THE BEST!!!!....(for me!) I have a pretty active lifestyle that includes wearing around the house....doing yard work....driving tractors and backhoes...gardening...etc. In the short time (2-1/2 weeks) I have had the SkullCandy Crusher ANC-2, I have dropped (or otherwise) them numerous times. The matte finish has never scratched, as I fear a "glossy finish" would have, making imperfections more obvious. I just take a disinfectant wipe to clean the headphones. - I feel MANY PEOPLE who "complained" about the ANC "noise cancelling" feature not working are CONFUSED as to what this is exactly! This DOES NOT mean that these headphones completely "soundproof" your ears!!! AND THIS ESPECIALLY doesn't work if you have no sound coming through the headphones at all!!! If you want those headphones, you're better off looking in an aviation-pilot store somewhere. BUT the ANC feature does do it's job in cancelling outside noise while listeninng to tunes at an adequate level. ---- BTW...I'm not one to ever write reviews for products, but I have been legitimately blown away by the SkullCandy Crusher ANC 2, that I felt a need to counter some of the negative reviews that made me ponder my decision to buy. It wasn't until a good friend of mine told me she loves her SkullCandy products, that I took a chance and purchased. I'm glad I did! TJ

Sound quality was surprising, they're very dual personality cans
I'm a mix between a basshead and an audiophile. I installed car stereos for 15 years so I've heard a lot of different types of setups. I had a pair of Sony XB950BT's that I really liked, but they finally broke, so I needed some replacement cans. I loved the Sony's low end and they didn't sound too bad everywhere else either, so I wanted something comparable. I bought a pair of beats solo3's and was very disappointed with the lack of low end, volume, and overall sound quality. So like any intelligent idiot, I did my research after impulse buying something that didn't fit the bill and came across these ANC 2's. They deliver. I wasn't really sure what the sound quality would be like, but it's way better than I expected. These beat the Sony's in every way, better sound quality, more volume by quite a bit, and bass like a couple of 12's in the trunk with 6-700 watts. It's an impressive amount of bass. The only thing missing is feeling it in your chest when the bassline drops. You'd probably have to spend 2k on a setup in your car to replicate the way these sound as a whole package. You do need to tweak them some with the equalizer in the skull IQ app. I've found that turning the the low and the low mid about 3 lines down from the top and then adjusting the bass through the crusher wheel gets you the cleanest sound. If you turn the crusher bass all the way off, it loses a lot below about 40Hz. But adjusted like that with the wheel at about 10 or 20% gets you a nice full sound with some good thump on the bottom end but it doesn't get muddy. That way also keeps it fairly linear through the volume range so you don't have way too much bass at lower levels until you turn it up like some other ways I had tried tuning it before. Some songs don't sound great above that, but some you can go all the way to the max on the crusher wheel and still sound clean. These seem to have the highest pressure levels around 40Hz and drop off a fair amount under 30Hz. You can still hear them down to and below 20Hz though, but not nearly at the pressure levels you do at 40Hz. The mids and highs are way cleaner than I expected and these handle rock and classic rock very well. Like I said before, these aren't audiophile quality, but from being in the sound industry for a lot of years, I got picky about sound quality, but still love more than average low end. These marry the two perfectly if tuned right and I don't have any problem with using these as my daily set. They're also very comfortable. They don't clamp too tight on your ears, and the ear cushions go all the way around my ears. No hotspots. I can wear these for hours and be comfortable. The ANC has a hiss when it's on, but I didn't buy these for noise cancelling so I just turn it off. I can't comment on the durability because I just bought them, but if these hold up long term, they're worth every penny and then some if you're like me and want a ton of bass at times, but also want a nice rich/full sounding set of cans when the mood strikes I love that I can change them from one to the other with the roll of the crusher wheel and not have to do anything else.

Better than Beats Studio headphones
One day I asked my dad what headphones he thinks were the best to purchase ( I was originally thinking of giving him a red and black beats that literally suited his rockstar personality for Father’s Day) I was expecting him to say beats headphones but for my surprise he said skull candy. I started looking multiple reviews on different skull candy headphones models, I found on sale the skull candy crusher in light greenish second hand well taken care off and on sale, when it first arrived I was SO SURPRISED, when I first used them to make sure they were working perfectly fine I got jealous because you can adjust the bass with one bottom, which is something that my beats headphone don’t have and thought it was awesome that some pair of headphones could have that. Fast forward I took the decision of buying another pair for me the same I gave to my dad. I ended up buying the crusher ANC 2 just because of the good reviews and stars and let me tell…. It has been the best decision!. The crushers ANC2 it’s so easy to pair. One thing I first tried is voice recognition something that I used to struggle with my Siri when I owned my beats headphones. I could never get Siri work or hear me Properly , always took so many tries. With the crusher ANC2 is was immediately the voice recognition, super fast that I put a face like : 😱,another cool thing that crusher ANC2 has is that has like a little wheel to adjust how much bass you want (it tells you the percentage 20%,40%, 60% ,etc) , something that the regular crushers don’t really have, and definitely something that beats don’t even have!. It also has a noise cancellation option and awareness. I thought the ANC 2 were going to be HEAVY, but comparing it with my beats IT’S SO LIGHTWEIGHT, like hello? How!!?. My beats were so heavy , always ripping my hair off hurting my Elix piercing so bad, falling out of my head hurting my hears , this ANC2 are so comfy and cover all your ears and around it, It covers your ears but it gives it a little bit more extra space outside your ears, which makes it comfy for piercings! ( finally 🥹) it has a cushion on the top Of your head and feels like a little pillow super soft , beats does have a cushion on top of the head which is stiff and regular crushers Evo do have one but it’s the same material has the beats but bigger than beats. It comes with two types of chargers , a type C and normal and one type USB and a cable to connect it directly to any computer( can be use wired or wireless )the only thing I don’t really like it’s the case, beats headphones come with a hard case and A clip.this crushers come with a case that looks like a bag. But other than that I’m obsessed with them it is worth every penny. I also tested out while I working out and it stayed in placed, the beats headphones always slipped out of my head No Matter how tight I try to adjusted to my head. My dad have tested out both headphones and he said : “approved by a rock fan ( evo crusher and ANC2) , this is NUTS, can’t wait to listen my favorite rock songs 😃” has a person that has owned JBL headphones, BEATS ,RODE, regular AirPods , etc this ones are the best so far , it won’t disappoint… trust me.I’m a big fan of headphones always looking for quality sound Forgot to mention that on the app for this headphones has different modes of listening such as music mode , movie, podcast , same for audio and change function of bottoms

Hands Down Amazing!!! Coming from a SPL drag race competitor.
The sound quality and the bass are an AMAZING experience!!! Spent hundreds on other high-quality headphones, and these are what I've been wanting. Complete control of bass while maintaining clarity of vocals, mids, and highs, and my first experience with ANC (wow, just wow). I no longer need an external amp for my computer to enjoy full Dolby Atmos for headphones. The ANC alone made the Dolby Atmos just come to life. The bass on these is crazy! This is coming from my background of qty:8,12"subs in the back of a hatchback (161db's from sealed enclosures in a 1996 Hyundai Accent lol). I have the bass turned up to 75%, and that's enough. 100% turned up, and I love it, but it fatigues me quickly and it's so not the same as a full-body SPL bass hit, but it does the job without pissing off your neighbors in a several block radius. One great thing about these is that having the bass at 100%, I can still hear vocals and shake the crap out of my head lol. I listen to a lot of EDM/trance, and some lyricical rap (not mumble crap), some hip/hop, and pop and these are beautiful with bass at 50%. EDM/trance at 50-75% is like being the club! If I could describe the overall tone of the headset, I'd say a very warm tone. The 1Khz band on up is not strong, but might be handled by the "IQ" app (have not played with it as I'm extremely happy stock). Not sure if this is a bad thing, as I hated my ears being beatup but high freq tweeters. High crisp freqs are like being attacked by 100's of hissing snakes on your ear drums lol I got the real tree white set. The build quality and the skin are freaking amazing! If these end up being $20-40 more than the solid color, still get them! Never seen headphones with this pattern, and it's really something to see. Even the storage bag has the same pattern. So worth every penny. Bluetooth connection was super easy. My computer and phone literally have it as "crusher ANC 2" so there is no trying to figure out what your headphones are. The Bluetooth distance is insane, too. I have a 1800sq/ft cement-walled house, and there are ZERO deadspots.

Crazy good for the price!!
The “Preppy Blue” or “Cotton candy” as I like to call it, was the best choice I made. It’s such a nice color. The cushions are soft and they fit over my ears very comfortably. My ears would often get sore after using my old headphones for a while, but not with these. The only way I can describe the bass is that it’s loud but still enjoyable. It’s not to the point where your ears are ringing. The overall sound was clear, and it felt like I was at a live concert. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the ANC. It is kind of far from canceling noise lol. It works, but not that well. However, It wasn’t enough to change my rating from 5 stars. I love them too much.

It’s tinny and muffled… but still good. Yeah, still good.
The shortlist of pros: - They don't give me a headache, even with my big cranium! - I know people complain about the cabin pressure feeling that ANC can cause, but I did not experience that at all. If anything, I felt more pressure playing music for a while WITHOUT the ANC, since it felt more like the sound waves were shooting into my ear, while the ANC equalized the pressure all around. - The bass is GREAT - The Stay Aware is pretty good - Easily connects to two devices simultaneously - Being able to set a custom EQ profile is nice - Works wirelessly or wired The shortlist of cons: - The pads are a little bit small for my ears. Keeping in mind I wear 3-5 earrings (all hoops) per ear plus glasses, I do have a lot going on near the auditory protrusions, but they still press against the rim of my ear and push down my earrings in ways my previous headphone pads did not. - The ANC is so-so - Has serious issues switching between two devices it's connected to simultaneously - The app lowkey sucks - The sound quality falls tragically short of the level I was expecting. It's diluted and tinny, especially higher pitches - Sound quality wired is terrible - Why is the most useful button forcibly mapped to Spotify...?? Now the details... ** HEADACHE ***** I have a wide circumference head, so over-ear headphones pretty much always hurt from the pressure (and if they don't, they're too flimsy to stay on safely). These don't cause any (interna)l headache even after I wore them nonstop for eight hours. Now, the physical pressure was definitely apparent so I kept making slight adjustments to try and find the right place for them, but that's just being wireless headphones that need to be firm enough to stay on. They never caused the pounding ache that I used to get. ** ANC ***** I didn't find the ANC as effective as I expected, although it's my first time owning ANC headphones so maybe this is normal. They definitely do something (specifically, they soften sounds so they roll more gently into whatever audio you have playing instead, neutralizing them), but it isn't a clear cut-off. My industrial earplugs work way better at actually cutting out sound. Even with ANC on and the cups positioned as sealed as possible around my ears, I can still hear myself typing, but it's downgraded from a thunderstorm to mild but continuous tapping. I can still hear the automatic cat feeder summoning my demons to their ritual sacrifices, but it's like hearing a next door neighbor shouting at the TV instead of an android talking ten feet behind me. You will definitely still hear yourself chewing or coughing. Without audio playing, the ANC does very, very little, only kind of taking the edge off of things. With quieter music playing, it makes the outside nice less disruptive, although it's still there. With rock music though, it's actually been very effective even at low volumes. I still literally just heard my lizard falling off a platform behind me, though, so I guess there's that. (He's fine, I promise.) ** STAY-AWARE ***** This one is good! I didn't know what to expect from it, but it just makes the sharper sounds that ANC muffles more enhanced instead, so it isn't obnoxious or startling. I just heard my lizard fall off another platform, and this time with Stay-Aware on, instead of just one soft drop I heard his little hands scrabbling softly as he climbed back on, so there's your difference. ** NEITHER ANC NOR STAY-AWARE ***** This is what I use at home so that I can focus on work or music but still hear if something breaks or an alarm goes off. Even without ANC on, my pressure cooker apparently finished cooking and fully depressurized without my hearing it, so the natural muffling of just having big foam pads over your ears is still pretty nice on its own. ** MULTI-DEVICE BLUETOOTH ***** Hate it. It has no problem connecting to two devices - that was very quick and easy, no issues at all - but the problem is switching between the two. If the Crusher is playing music from my laptop and I open a mobile game that has audio capabilities (although they're all silenced so there isn't actually any sound??) the Crusher switches to the silent game and stay there. Even if I close the game or turn off Bluetooth on my phone, the headphones STILL don't go back to the computer. The computer just starts playing through the built-in internal speakers, despite saying that the Crusher is still connected. I have to disconnect and reconnect the headphones in order for the audio to return to the headphones. It's a huge pain. I'm hoping this is a setting I can change on the computer itself since I can't figure out how to on the headphones, but the computer has no problem switching between wired speakers, wired headphones, and built-in internal speakers. It's only a problem with the bluetooth Crusher. Still not enough to drop my rating, but it's definitely the most annoying part. ** APP ***** If you want to look at anything to do with the Crusher on the Skull IQ app (like which button does what, or what is my custom EQ setting), you HAVE to be connected to them by BT. You can't just look at them without the headphones on, or if you only have the headphones connected to your computer because of the above app-switching issue. This is the second most annoying part. ** SOUND ***** This is the part that dropped my rating by a whole star, and I'm quite sad about it. Now, I'll add the disclaimer that WITHOUT actively comparing them side by side, the sound quality on these headphones are fine right out of the box... in Bluetooth mode, anyway. More on wired later. I actually wonder if some of the sound issues I'm having are because of the headphones overcompensating and forcing unwanted adjustments based on my hearing test in the app, so I might just delete it entirely. But it was still a noticeable difference to me even before I did the test. So I'm comparing the Crusher's sound quality against the original 2014 AxentWear (now Brookstone) cat-earred headphones, meaning those are 12 years old, created by an artist and not a sound designer, and at this point very well-loved. I never thought I'd consider that my standard for good quality sound, but here we are... I'm also comparing the Crusher against a pair of Panasonic earbuds from Target that are probably 15 years old at this point. Both are wired-only. I would test with my Voice earbuds, which are bluetooth, but my laptop refuses to connect to them anymore, so it's not really an option. You can see why I really needed to get new headphones. Anyway. Regardless of ANC on, ANC off, and Stay Aware, the BT sound quality of the Crusher is... fine. The treble is tinny as HECK, but I can't remember if it was like that before I did the hearing test or not. Instrumental music sounds lovely, EDM is particularly great, rock is mostly fine... but it's the singing where the Crusher gets really iffy. I was able to rebalance the equalizer to make it acceptable by cranking up the mid-high and lowering the high, then making only slight adjustments to the others, but it was very noticeable that higher notes sound more muffled than they should. It's not too bad most of the time when I'm only listening through the Crusher for hours and hours, but it definitely still snags my attention over and over. The exact same songs sound best on the cat-earred headphones by far, very clear and crisp, although... flat? Those obviously do not give you the surround sound experience, there's no bass at all, it's just the same sound coming out perfectly evenly through both headphones at the same time, but the audio is very precise. There is no sense of muffling at all that the Crusher is giving me over and over. The sounds are second best on the Panasonic cheapo earbuds, and the Crusher is third. I'm so, so sad. The sadness was intensified when I tried them wired... and wow. Holy smokes. The sound is SO bad when wired. It's not as bad as airplane freebie headphones, but it's bad. Being able to use them wired was very important for me since I'm still using a pre-Bluetooth iPod as my everyday music option for my work commute and when I'm traveling, and I don't intend to change this for as long as the thing is still alive. (It goes weeks on a charge, I can change the playlists on the fly, and it has 14 years of music organized on there...) So I guess I'm keeping the Panasonic earbuds for a while longer, since ouch. Heartbreaking, really. Now, all that said, I think the extra features of the Crusher are still worth it, so I'm definitely keeping them, especially since I got them on a nice sale and I already tried and returned another pair of wireless headphones. The bass alone! The Crusher makes me feel like I'm partying from my couch. I love feeling the music moving through me. Love the shivers, love the ability to change the bass intensity on the fly, love being able to mess with the EQ settings. But the sound is sincerely depressing. I'm not even an audiophile! My previous primary headphones had purple light up cat ears! But the sound quality difference is still so striking to me. Bearable - I'm sure I'll get used to it, even if it's by... apparently... retraining my hearing to be less sensitive? I guess? That doesn't sound great - but I'll get used to it. But it is striking. ** BASS ***** The bass settings are GREAT. The bass sounds and feels great. Love it, 10/10. ** RANDOM OTHER QUIRKS ***** - A lot of times when I have audio paused and turn it back on, there is a sound of some sort for just a split second. Sometimes it's like a tiny burst of static and other times it's like the music catches on itself right at startup; once it sounded almost like a tiny explosion. It's not disruptive or annoying, but it's noticeable. - When I don't have audio playing, sometimes I will randomly hear some faint clicks on the left side. No idea what this is. - I hate that the main function button's single click is apparently permanently mapped to Spotify. I don't use Spotify enough to ever need this. I would way rather use that button to toggle ANC off and on, as a backup if the little switch at the bottom breaks. I did create all the other shortcuts I could that I would use, including for ANC, but I just want to get rid of the Spotify single click altogether. Okay... I think that's all. This is the longest Amazon review I've probably ever left. Bye!

Just wow.
Just wow. There is nothing else to be said. .... just kidding, there's plenty else to be said: the Crusher ANC 2s absolutely blew me away! The bass is unbelievable - straight-up euphoric. It connects to things pretty easily, and works with the Skullcandy iQ app pleasingly. I got them in Plasma (which is just red), and it's a very vivid, appealing color. They look amazing, and within days of getting them, had gotten a series of compliments on how good I looked wearing them (insert laughing emoji here). The controls are intuitive, and the overall design is peak. Sound quality is amazing, especially if you use the aforementioned Skullcandy iQ app to modify the sound with the custom eq function - which is where the sound quality gets even better, since you can customize how it sounds. They definitely don't stay on my head very well, but i don't know if that's a problem with these headphones or just headphones in general, since this is my first-ever set. (I've used earbuds my whole life til now, so this is kind of a new thing for me.) They're made of very high-quality materials that can bend alot - surprisingly - without breaking. They're very comfy, and can really be used for listening to anything all day. Movies get that crazy bass during explosions, and the unbelievable sound quality catches every whisper - kinda drawing you into the experience. You can wear the working out, relaxing on the couch, doing chores, or whatever else - just as long as u don't look up or down while you do so - cuz then they slide off for me, lol. maybe it'll be different for others. Overall, every bit of these headphones is absolutely peak quality. If i could go back to when I was searching for a good set of headphones a few weeks ago, I'd choose this pair every time. Nothing beats it. Have a good day ;)

Love these!!!
I have owned the crusher evo for a few months now but my 11 y.o son always wanted to borrow them so I just let him have them. I loved those so much and I have been eyeballing these leapord anc 2 for awhile. I got them on an amazing deal for $150 I think they are totally worth it. I will be using these for the gym so I need to be able to switch from anc to be aware. These are pretty comfy on the ears! They connected well to my galaxy S24 ultra and I downloaded the skull candy app and customized the sound to my liking. The bass is so powerful I love it! Comes with a sturdy bag, comes with wired option and charger cord. These are my absolute favorite headphones. I think its worth a try, if you're worried about the bass it is adjustable. I saw some reviews saying that the bass drowns out the the music... again please download the skull candy app! You can adjust/ customize EQ to your liking. UPDATE: went to the gym and worked out with these, cardio, stairmaster, hip thrusts and they didn't slip. My crusher evos fell off my head when I leaned these ones do not move.
